This workshop is for people interested in Assessing or training members for D and D Plus Tests. Before attending this workshop, you will preferably have a clear idea of the level required and be coaching this level regularly. Anyone assessing at this level or above is welcome to attend.

Running from 5pm to 8pm this workshop aims to clarify and develop the skills required to assess PC D and D+ Tests. Lasting 3 hours the following topics will be covered: • The Pony Club Test Structure, assessor requirements and application process for members • Clarification of what is expected for ‘D and D+ Test’ Riding and Care • Preparation for the Test Day • Discussion on questioning technique • Practical observation and questioning • Delivering appropriate feedback What do participants need to bring? Please bring the Test Cards for E, D, D Plus and C Efficiency Tests and complete the Pre-Course Work prior to attending the workshop. Please dress appropriately to assess. Clean boots, tidy hair and smart clothing, remember that the demo riders will have made a big effort to be there and expect you to be well turned out ! This Workshop will focus on the new D and D Plus syllabus and will count as Pony Club CPD for Coaches on the PC Coach Database. Places are strictly limited to 12 as this is an interactive workshop. It is Assessor Training not Standard Setting.
