Incorporating the Barrier Animal Health 1st Round Qualifier for the Spring Festival of Show Jumping

2nd Round Qualifying Competitions March 2022 Final 8th – 10th April 2022, Arena UK

 

CLASSES 1 – 7 Open to Pony Club Members Only.

CLASSES 8 -13 Open to all Dress up with lots of tinsel and cheer and come and join in the fun

Event Classes

The following classes are available for the THE BURGHLEY BRANCH OF THE PONY CLUB Christmas Ho Ho Fun Show & Show Jumping

Class 1 Mini Elf Stakes - tiny fences show jumping can be lead/assisted.
Class 2: PC Only Mistletoe Stakes Mini - 50cm show jumping.
Class 3: PC Only Mistletoe Stakes Major - 60cm show jumping.
Class 4: PC Only Rudolph’s Horse & Hound - Mini fences for 6 legs (Lead reins allowed)
Small course of fences to be jumped on horseback followed by a quick change over of horse to hound by the rider to complete the course, 5 seconds added for a knock down, fastest time wins.
PRIZES SPLIT 7 AND UNDER 8 AND OVER
Class 5 PC ONLY Pudding & Sixpence 70cm Pairs Relay
The first rider jumps the course then must handover a baton before the next rider starts. 5 seconds added for a knock down, fastest time wins.
Class 6 PC Only Christmas Cheer Fancy Dress
Christmas cheer is the theme for you and your pony, dogs and family!
Class 7: PC Only Holly Stakes – 70cm Show Jumping.
Class 8a Pony Club Members : Ivy Stakes – 80cm show jumping.
The Debut Spring Festival Qualifier Individual Qualifying Clas
Class 8b Open: Ivy Stakes – 80cm show jumping
Class 9a Pony Club Members: Pudding Stakes 90cm show jumping
The PC Challenge Spring Festival Qualifier Individual Qualifying Class
Class 9 Open: Pudding Stakes 90cm
Class 10: Open Sherry & Mince Pie 90cm Pairs Relay

Class 11: Open Snowman Stakes – 100cm show jumping.
Class 12: Open Reindeer Stakes – 110cm show jumping.

ENTRIES ONLINE at Horse Events

One entry per horse/pony must be made in advance to obtain a number.

Further entries can be made on the day ONLY IF not already full

ENTRY FEE: £12 per class £20 Pairs

All entries are subject to a non refundable booking fee

Withdrawals & Refunds

No refunds after closing date.

Closing date 14th Dec at midnight for refunds, this may close earlier if full.

In the event of abandonment 75% of the entry fee will be refunded.

DEBUT ELIGIBILITY

Combination of horse/pony and rider are NOT eligible if they have:
Represented their Branch/Centre at PC100 (Intermediate) or above at Summer Area Qualifiers for The Pony Club Show Jumping Championships
Been placed 1st – 3rd as INDIVIDUAL in the PC90 (Novice) or above Pony Club Show Jumping

Championships

• Rider is NOT eligible if they have:
• Previously competed at the Winter Series Open Grand Prix Championships; or The Pony Club

Show Jumping Final at Hickstead

PC CHALLENGE ELIGIBILITY

• Combination of horse/pony and rider are NOT eligible if they have:
• Represented their Branch/Centre at PC110 (Open) Summer Area Qualifiers for The Pony Club

Show Jumping Championships (this does not include any other classes held in conjunction with the Area Qualifier)

Combination of horse/pony and rider CAN qualify for both the Debut Championships and PC Challenge Championships in the same year but CANNOT also qualify for the Open Grand Prix Final.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  • The Event will be run under Pony Club Show jumping plus Spring Qualifier 2022 Rules where applicable.
  • Failure to comply with rules may result in elimination.
  • The Judges decision shall be final
  • The Pony Club Hat Rule is mandatory. ALL MOUNTED RIDERS MUST WEAR A HAT WITH A CURRENT AQUAMARINE TAG
  • Entries will be received on a first come, first served basis.
  • Horses and ponies shall be over 4 years old.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to alter or cancel classes at any given time.
  • Prizes, according to entries.
  • Objections must be submitted in writing with a £25 deposit, within 30 minutes of the completion of the class.
  • All dogs must be on a lead at all times.

This event is being organised by Burghley Pony Club. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.
