Entry Fees:

Class 1 NOVICE CUBHUNTER TEAM CHASE: Entry fee £120* per team (incl. £5 MFHA Levy)

Class 2 OPEN TEAM CHASE : Entry fee £150* (inc MFHA Levy)

Class 3 INTERMEDIATE SPEED TEAM CHASE:    Entry fee £140* per team (incl. MFHA Levy)

Class 4 INTERMEDIATE BOGEY TEAM CHASE:  Entry fee £140* per team (inc MFHA Levy

All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis.

* Entry price includes Paramedic Fees.

Closing date for entries is Monday 17 April 2023

Late entries will only be accepted at the discretion of the Event Organisers and will be subject to an additional cost of £10 per individual or £40 per team.

Please ensure you have fully compliant safety equipment. Inspections of hat tags and body protectors will take place.

Times will be posted on www.teamchasing.co.uk prior to the event.

The Course will be open for inspection from 12 noon on Saturday 22 April 2023

All competitors to provide their own number bibs and we will provide number inserts. A small number of bibs will be available to purchase from the secretary’s lorry on the day.

Class 1 NOVICE CUBHUNTER TEAM CHASE

Fences approx. 3’, suitable for all ages

To be judged by a bogey time

Prizes to 3^rd place, rosettes to 10^th place

Spillers Team Trials Challenge Cup for best Bicester & Whaddon Team.

Eligibility is restricted to the Bicester Hunt with Whaddon Chase, Bicester & Warden Hill and Whaddon Chase Pony Clubs.

Eligibility for all prizes should be indicated when entering

Class 2 OPEN TEAM CHASE

Prize Fund: 1^st £400 2^nd £250 3^rd £150 4^th £100

This event is a qualifier for the 2024 National Championship.

Riders must be 16 years or over and horses must be 14.2hh or over

Class 3 INTERMEDIATE SPEED TEAM CHASE   

Prize Fund: 1st £200                2nd £100              3rd £80                 4th £40

Intermediate Speed Team Chase: Maximum height of fixed fences approx. 3’6”. To be judged against the clock.

Riders must be 16 years of age or over; horses must be 14.2hh or over

Class 4 INTERMEDIATE BOGEY TEAM CHASE

Prizes in kind to 3rd place, rosettes to 10^th place

Intermediate Bogey Team Chase: Maximum height of fixed fences approx. 3’6”. To be judged against a bogey time.

RULES

The team chase classes are run under the auspices of the MFHA governing body and are bound by their rules.  These may be found at www.teamchasing.co.uk. It is a requirement that all participants carry Third Party insurance for not less than £5m. It is also strongly recommended that all participants have Personal Accident Insurance.

Please note BTC’s new rules regarding rider falls:

If a rider falls or is unseated in any circumstance whilst on course then that rider is immediately eliminated and must retire from the competition. If the competitor does continue on the course following a fall their team will be eliminated from the
competition in the event of that competitor jumping a further fence. It is recommended that competitors who suffer a heavy fall should see an on-duty Doctor before leaving the event; however competitors and their team members are to take their own responsibility in doing so.

Refunds will be given minus a £10 admin fee if the spot can be filled

In the event of cancellation more than 1 week before the event is scheduled 50% of entry fees will be refunded.

If the event is cancelled less than 1 week before the event 25% of entry fees will be refunded.
