Two days of fun packed sunny (hopefully!) polo training:
The days are open to all members of the pony club, from 6 years upwards, whether having previous polo experience or not.
For those wishing to come along and ‘have a go’, we can provide hand sticks and full size sticks plus bandages and tape!
Children, especially beginners, are encouraged to come along on their ponies but hire ponies are also available.
Start time will be 11am to allow for those travelling from further afield!
Instruction:
The days will consist of:
Coaching by fully qualified, registered HPA instructors (4-5 hours per day)
Mounted and Dismounted sessions
Similar ability groups,
Many aspects of polo covered including riding, hitting the ball, tactics, stable management, polo tack, all using the amazing facilities at Vaux Park
Feed advice and a weighbridge from TOP SPEC feeds
An equine sports massage therapist
And a PT instructor will be coming to give the children (and Mums!) a morning work out!
Instruction will finish each day at approx 5pm
Withdrawals & Refunds
Withdrawals & Refunds
In the event of a team entering a tournament and subsequently withdrawing, the expectation must be that the entry fee will not be refunded. However, in some situations some refund may be made at the discretion of the chairman.
In the event of abandonment 50% of the entry fee will be refunded.
In the event of insufficient entries, all entry money less a £1 admin fee per person will be refunded.
Stabling and Pony Hire
Stabling/Grazing:
Stabling and grazing is available on site, to book please contact Vaux Park Yard Manager – Elly 07305 056121. This must be done before arrival

Camping & Catering
Camping:
Camping is free to all families. There is the use of one shower in the Clubhouse. There is hot water to wash up in the clubhouse plus a large TV and power points to charge phones.
Caroline Stern will be in charge overnight, on site, but every child needs a responsible adult. She is a registered first aider and safeguarding qualified.
Don’t forget your bikes, paddling pools and rounders equipment!
Catering:
This will be provided by Susie Parry-Jones, on site, from Sunday evening for those arriving early, through to Wednesday lunchtime for those staying for the tournament.
Those wishing to be catered for, must book in advance and need to contact her directly, via email: Susipj@live.co.uk
Those paying for catering will receive a wristband to wear for the duration so as to be easily identified.
There will also be a roaming Ice Cream Van swinging by too!

- Please ensure your members comply with eligibility and hat tagging rules and have a responsible adult present.
- Late entries may be accepted at the organiser’s discretion. Late entry Surcharge: £20 per team
- Queries may only be raised via the Organiser by the DC or their appointee. Protests / objections will be managed as per Rule 4.11.
- Photographic Rights – competitors and their parents/guardians have given permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of the Pony Club and/or Official Sponsors of the Pony Club.
A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany each horse/pony to this event and must be available for inspection if required by event officials. Vaccinations must be in accordance with the Pony Club Rule 2022
Event Booking Information
This event is being organised by BETHAN HITCHMAN . Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.
As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.
We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.

LEGAL LIABILITY Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the Organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor the Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.
HEALTH, SAFETY & WELFARE:
The Organisers of this Event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all the Officials and Stewards.
