Event Classes

The following classes are available for the Old Berkshire Hunt Pony Club DRESSAGE COMPETITION and Barrier Animal Health Pony Club Spring Qualifiers

Class 1 Prelim 13
Open to all
Class 2 The Pony Club Novice Dressage Test 2020 & Qualifier
Open to all
Riders are not eligible to qualify if they have represented a Branch / Centre at Open Area Dressage or above (this includes summer and/or winter Area Competitions), if they have won and BD (or DI) points at Novice level or above, if they have competed at more than 2 Novice My Quest / Team Quest competitions or if they have competed at BD Novice Dressage to Music competitions
Class 3 The Pony Club Intermediate Dressage Test 2013 & Qualifier
Open to all
Combination of horse / pony and rider are not eligible to qualify if they have represented a Branch /centre at open Area Dressage or above (this includes summer and / or winter Area Competitions
Class 4 The Pony Club Open Dressage Test 2020 & Qualifier
Open to all
Horses/ponies are not eligible to qualify if they have won more than 10 points at Advanced Medium level or above during the current year.

Entry Fees £18.00 per test

All entries are subject to a non refundable booking fee as stated online.

Entries close 15th February at midnight.

No entries on the day.

Results and Rosettes

Rosettes 1st to 6th place Please bring A4 stamped addressed envelope if you would like score sheets or rosettes sent to you.

Qualifications / Event Notes

Riders can qualify at 2 adjacent levels for the Area final.

Callers are allowed in all classes.

An appropriate whip can be carried.


The top 4 eligible riders in classes 2 to 4 will qualify for the Area Competition, which for Area 9 members is on Sunday 20th March 2022 at Burrows Court, GL11 6AZ.

The National Dressage Spring Championships is on April 9th 2022 at Arena UK.

Qualifiers are open to members of any Branch of The Pony Club and non-members. Non-members must become fully paid up members to compete at their Area final.

The Pony Club values: Togetherness, Empathy, Respect, Learning and Passion and we’ll be running this competition to those values.

Withdrawals & Substitutions

Withdrawals:  Full refund of entry fee less £5 admin for withdrawals before close of entries on 15th Feb.

No refunds after this date unless the event is cancelled.

Entries Close:  15th Feb  2022 at midnight 

Cancellation: Full refund less booking fee and £5 admin if the event is cancelled for any reason

COVID 19 – This event will follow current Covid guidelines

Class 1 to be run under British Dressage Rules. All other classes to run under The Pony Club Spring Festival 2022 Rules

Information regarding Barrier Animal Feeds Pony Club Spring festival – Dressage;


The Pony Club Spring Dressage Series qualification classes are for classes 2, 3, & 4. You must be a Pony Club Member to enter the Qualifiers. If you are not a Pony Club member when you enter for this competition, you will have to join and be a Pony Club to compete at the qualifiers. Please see the pony club website for further information.

The event venue stipulates all horses/ponies entering the event site must comply with the BEF Vaccination guidelines.

Passports must accompany all horses/ponies and spot checks will be undertaken: Please note you must leave 7 days after any Flu vaccine before competing. (i.e. no vaccinations after 12th February 2022)

For Pony Club classes, members please ensure that the riding hat is tagged in line with the Pony Club rules (aquamarine tags). We will be able to tag hats free of charge on the day.

BD tests (class 1) can be purchased from the British Dressage website:



Dogs are only allowed if they are on short leads at all times.

All classes are open to non-Pony Club members with adequate insurance cover.

Please clear all droppings/hay/litter from Wickstead Farm. No mucking out of lorries/ trailers. Please do not tie your horse up to your lorry/trailer.

The organisers’ reserve the right to cancel Class 1 if oversubscribed.

This event is being organised by The Old Berkshire Hunt Pony Club . Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Venue Information

Wickstead Farm Equestrian Centre is a BHS Approved Livery and Facilities Centre and listed in the BHS Where To Train.  We are an Approved Pony Club Centre and also a Registered Riding for the Disabled Group.  The establishment holds a full Council Licence is compliance of Section 1 of the Riding Establishments Act.

Wickstead Farm offers a full range of livery, schooling and competition facilities including indoor school, fully lit outdoor manege, horse walker, cross country course and spa.  Based on a large National Trust Estate, between Highworth and Coleshill on the Wiltshire / Oxfordshire border, our clients enjoy off road riding and river crossings through beautiful Wiltshire countryside.

Cross Country Course
Wickstead has its own Professionally built Cross Country, with a range of jumps up to 3’3″ including two water complexes. We also have a new little minimus course with jumps 1′ – 1’9 . It is available for use for Competitions and Schooling.
