RING 1 (starting at 9:30am)
All classes in this ring are sponsored by the Millwheel Tackshop at Moss End Garden Centre
Class 1 Beginners Jumping – Fences 2′ 3″. (70cm)

Combination not to have won a jumping class. A trophy will be awarded.

Class 2 Novice Jumping – Fences 2′ 6″ (75cm). Open to all horses/ponies, riders any age £10.00
Class 3 Intermediate Jumping – Fences 2′ 9″ (85cm). Open to all horses/ponies, riders any age £10.00
Class 4 Local Jumping – Fences 2′ 9″.(85cm)

Horses or riders to live within 20 mile radius. A trophy will be awarded.

Class 5 Open Jumping for the Moss End Farm Trophy. Fences start at 3′ (90cm).

Clear Round Jumping 9am – 12 noon, followed by Class 6

Entries on the day – limited to 3 rounds per horse and pony. Course raised during the morning

For riders 12 years and under; ponies 13.2hh and under. Combination not to compete in any other jumping class, except for Class 7 and 8.

A and B
Tack and Turnout (grass kept and stable kept). This class is divided into two sections to run at the same time. Section A is grass-kept; Section B is stable kept. Please state on entry form in which of A or B you are competing. A bag of feed will be given to the winner of each section.

Then a championship. See conditions of entry. These sections will combine if there are insufficient entries. The pure-bred prize-money and trophy for Class 15, and the championship rosettes for Classes 15 and 17 have been kindly given by John Brewster and Chris Snell.
A special rosette will be awarded to the best 1-3 year old in this class.

This show is affiliated to the Coloured Horse and Pony Society (UK) affiliation number 19091. Both owner and rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS(UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS(UK) to compete.

However, in order to qualify, both owner and rider/exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge.  Members to apply in writing to CHAPS(UK) for appropriate qualifier card.  The CHAPS(UK) Championship Show will be held from 28-31 August 2019 at Arena UK, Grantham. The following classes are CHAPS(UK) Qualifiers: 12,13,14, 26A/B/C. For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS(UK) MEMBERS’ HANDBOOK; or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings. All stallions 4 years old and over entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS(UK).  All stallions must wear stallion ID discs in the ring without exception.

Class 28 Learn How To Show In Hand Correctly! See Front Page for details for this Class.

Trophy, prize money and rosettes will be presented to the best handlers. All age groups welcomed. Section A for children 13 years and under. Section B for 14 years and over. Please state which section when entering. Competitors in this class may show their ponies to the judges and take part in the Tack & Turnout Class.

Prize money has been given by the Glennifers Stables. A salver will be presented to the winners of each Section, in memory of Caroline Stephens, the founder of this class.

Notes

This Show can offer qualifiers for the RASS Ridden Arabian Star Series and the All Stars In Hand Championships in Classes 15 sand 17.  Horses for RASS must acquire a qualifying card before taking part.   See website for details www.riddenarabianstarseries.co.uk

A CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY has been kindly given to this show in memory of Russell Pearson (owner of Glennifers Riding Stables), who died in August 2015. It will be awarded to the person who has won the most points in showjumping class: the winner of Classes 1-10 will receive 10 points, the second 8 points and the third 6 points. The rider who has won the most points at the end of the show wins the trophy to keep for one year

CLASS 28 is for competitors who would like to show their horses/ ponies in hand but are unsure of the correct procedure. For this class, please state which section you are entering. Competitors in this class may show their ponies to the judges before taking part in the Tack & Turnout classes. The judge will be advised of this situation. THIS IS A GOOD CLASS FOR ANYONE WANTING TO SHOW THEIR HORSE/PONY IN HAND – TRY CLASS 20 AS WELL!

Directions

Coming from the M4, take the A329M South towards Bracknell and take the first exit to Wokingham and Bracknell, turning left for Bracknell. Pass the first traffic lights near the ski-centre hotel, and turn left down St Marks Road at the next traffic lights. You will reach the centre of Binfield Village at a mini-roundabout on the Forest Road. Turn right and, after just over half a mile, turn left when you reach the big pub. Keep to the main road (B3018) and you will find the show-ground just over a mile on your right hand side.

Coming from the M3, proceed to the A329 as for Reading, but take the dual-carriage way exit for Wokingham where theA329 becomes the A329M; at the roundabout go right and then follow the instructions above.
