Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawal Date: 22/05/2024


Refund minus an admin fee of £3.00 up until Withdrawal date after the closing date refunds will only be made on a vet or medical certificate sent to horse-events by 3rd June. All refunds will be subject to a £3 administration fee.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded per class minus an admin fee of £3.00 (Booking fees are non refundable)

Entry information

All Classes will be for Teams and Individuals. ENTRY FEES: (to include a First Aid contribution) Per combination per class: £16 + booking fee * Classes 1 & 2 are intended for Novice riders/combinations – any rider/combination that has jumped clear more than three times in those class heights or above at any SJ show are asked NOT to enter these classes. Combinations that enter Class One, may also only enter Class Two. Horses/ ponies may enter a maximum of three classes. Ponies may be ridden twice by siblings/friends in Class One only and both combinations will be competitive. Combinations may only enter a maximum of three adjacent height classes. N. B. The class height is the maximum height of fences in the first phase/round; fences may be raised by up to 5cm in the second phase/round. Classes One to Six will be run Single Phase. Classes Seven may either Table A7 or Single Phase, depending on the number of entries and time

Team information

TEAM MANAGERS: Individual entries – a list of entries will be put up on the Croome PC website, just after the closing date and Team Managers must get their teams to croomepcshows@hotmail.com by Saturday 25th May (12 noon) or the Entries Secretary will put teams together. Teams of three may have another individual added to them by the Secretary. Please ensure that all your riders are aware of the Rules and Notices.

Prizes & Prize Giving

ROSETTES: to at least sixth place for teams and individuals, depending on class, with prizes in kind for at least first place.

Rules

RULES AND REGULATIONS PASSPORTS: horses/ponies will not be allowed to compete without their passport with valid flu vaccinations – please ensure they are compliant with Pony Club rules. Passports will be spot checked for compliance. A horse with a noncompliant passport will NOT be allowed to compete and there will be no refund of entry. Please allow time for passport checking. Please check the Pony Club website for current rules: the-pony-club-equine-influenza-vaccination-rule-2024-v7.pdf (pcuk.org) N.B. Please be aware that travelling your horse (unless an emergency) without the horse’s own passport, means that you are liable for a fine of up to £5000 and/or up to two years imprisonment. NUMBERS: rider numbers must be printed out by each competitor – if wearing a number bib please wear your number front and back. If the number is to be put on the saddle cloth – please do A5 size and wear both sides. If the number is to be worn on the back of the rider, then please print at least A5 size. Numbers to be printed/written as large as possible in dark ink please. NO BRIDLE NUMBERS TO BE USED PLEASE. 1. Teams to be made up of 3 or 4 combinations, with the best three scores to count. 2. Substitutions allowed – please tell the Secretary (Entries before the day, Show on the day) or the Judges if no Secretary on the day 3. Individuals will be put into teams where possible. 4 TEAM MANAGERS: PLEASE REQUEST TEAM MANAGER PERMISSION TO ADD TEAMS ONLINE. See Drawn Orders/ Times on Croome Hunt Pony Club website for accepted entries (branches.pcuk.org/croome) 5. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, alter the order of the classes, cancel classes and/or limit entries. 6. Pre-entries are essential as entries will be limited. If you miss the closing date please ring/ email the Entries Secretary for available spaces. A waiting list will be held if necessary. 7. Closing date for entries – Wednesday 22nd May 2024. 8. If the show is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, entry fees will be refunded. ALL refunds will be subject to an administration fee. (£3 per combination/class) 9. TIMES/DRAWN ORDERS WILL BE GIVEN – please see the Croome Hunt P.C. website (branches.pcuk.org./croome) from Tuesday 28th May (not before 18:00). Competitors may be asked to jump up to 15 minutes before their drawn order time – please be ready. 10. Competitor numbers MUST be visible at all times whilst mounted. 11. Children (under 16) must not jump in the warm-up arena without an accompanying adult. 12. Each horse/pony may only jump once in each class (apart from Class One – see note in schedule) and in a maximum of three classes. Stallions are allowed with prior permission from the Entries Secretary; any stallion ridden by a Pony Club member must have written permission from their DC/Centre Proprietor which must be sent to the Entries Secretary prior to the show day. Stallions must wear stallion discs and ribbons. All horse/ponies must be at least 5 years old on day of competition. 13. Turnout for ALL Pony Club members and horses should be as in the Pony Club Rules for Show-jumping 2024. Rules available on the main Pony Club website. 14. SPURS: ALL spurs worn anywhere on the showground, by any competitor, must comply with Pony Club rules. Misuse of spurs by any competitor will be recorded and reported and may result in disqualification from the competition. 15. Any abuse of horses/ponies, officials, other competitors, or members of the public will not be tolerated and those found doing so will be asked to leave the venue with no compensation and may be reported to the relevant authority. 16. Judges’ decision is final. Any objection must be handed to Judges Box in writing with a £30 deposit (which will be forfeited if the objection is not upheld) within 15 minutes of the incident and BEFORE the prize-giving for that class. 17. INSURANCE: please ensure that you have adequate/appropriate insurance for rider, horse, property and third party. 18. PHOTOGRAPHS: by entering this competition you are agreeing to be photographed whilst competing; these photographs may be used for future publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed, please tell the photographer on entering the arena before you jump. 19. Participants attend at their own risk; neither the Committee nor Allenshill Competition Centre will be liable for any loss, damage or accident to horses, riders, property, or other persons. 20. No horses/ponies should be left tied to the outside of trailers/lorries without supervision. Please clear any muck/rubbish and do not leave on the field/lorry park. Please park cars as directed – not by the lorries. 21. Dogs – must be kept on a short lead and be under close control at all times. Please clear up after your dog. 22. The show will be run under The Pony Club Show jumping Rules 2024.

Terms and Conditions

Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee, or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land , cars/ lorries/trailers, their contents and accessories or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.

Entries are only accepted on this basis.

The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.

All non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Croome Hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover them.
