Class 1 -50cm Mini Novice-Kindly Sponsored by Lavender Mortgages
Open to teams and individuals, jumps not to exceed 50cm in the first round.
This class is strictly for NOVICE/ INEXPERIENCED COMBINATIONS ONLY – please respect this.
Class 2 – 60cm Novice-Kindly Sponsored by Claydon Farm Equestrian
Open to teams and individuals, jumps not to exceed 60cm in the first round.

Times

Start Times will be available at www.horse-events.co.uk from Friday 11th February (Evening) and will include course walk times.

All classes will run as Single Phase.

Course Walk: For classes with large entry numbers, there will be a second course walk.

TEAM MANAGERS

TEAM MANAGERS :

Please submit your team names/members to the Event Secretary at eloisechugg@hotmail.com no later than the closing date.

Individual entrants will be put into teams wherever possible.

Please print your number(s) pre arrival and wear either a number bib or bridle or saddle cloth number on each side and put one in the front of the lorry/car for the gate steward to see clearly.

Competitor numbers MUST always be visible whilst mounted.

Withdrawals & Refunds

Cancellation Policy:  If the show is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control including due to Covid-19, entry fees will be refunded minus the booking fee.

Withdrawals:  must be made before the closing date of the competition which is midnight on Sunday 6th February. If withdrawing after the closing date a valid vet/medical certificate must be produced to qualify for a refund less £3 admin fee and non refundable booking fee as stated online

ALL Withdrawals must be registered by email to: info@horse-events.co.uk. Refunds exclude the booking fee.

 

ENTRY CONDITIONS:

RULES OF ENTRY

  1. All classes are open to teams of 3 or 4 members (best 3 scores count). Team members will also be judged as individuals. The whole team will ride one after the other. No competitor may ride more than one horse or pony in each team. No horse/pony may jump in more than three classes.
  2. TEAM MANAGERS Please submit your team names/members to the Event Secretary at the email above no later than the closing date. Individual entrants will be put into teams wherever possible. Competitor numbers MUST always be visible whilst mounted.
  3. Due to Health and Safety regulations, all competitors will be judged under Pony Club rules and it is the competitors’ responsibility to familiarize themselves with these rules. All competitors will have a tack check before competing.
  4. Neither the CVFH PC, Hartpury University nor any person acting on their behalf can accept any responsibility for any loss, damage or accident or injury to horse, pony, rider or anyone attending this event. The organisers have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For those measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and officials.
  5. First Aid Cover will be provided.
  6. All non pony club competitors are not covered by the Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Cotswold Vale Farmers Hunt Branch of the Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-members and their insurance will not cover them.
  7. No horses are to be left tied up and unattended outside lorries and trailers on the college premises.
  8. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, cancel a class withhold a prize, or disqualify a competitor for any reason they see fit.
  9. Objections must be lodged with the Secretary with a deposit of £25.00 within 10 minutes of the close of the class. The deposit may be forfeited.
  10. Horses and ponies must be 5yrs of age or over. PASSPORTS must be shown on the gate. Horses/ponies will not be allowed to compete without their passport with valid flu vaccinations with a booster within the last 12 months of the date of the competition. No horse/pony may have had a vaccination within 7 days of the competition A horse with a non-compliant passport will NOT be allowed to compete and there will be no refund of entry.
  11. Tack and equipment for Pony Club members and horses should be as in the Pony Club Rules for Show-jumping 2021. Rules available on the main Pony Club website. HAT RULE 2020: All competitors must wear hats to the following standard: PAS 015:1998 or 2011 with BSI Kitemark VG1, Snell E2001 with the official Snell label and number, ASTM-F1163 2004a with the SEI mark. AS/NZS 3838 2006. Parents should note that hat standard EN 1384 became obsolete from December 2015. Hats should display either The Pony Club, BE, or BRC “aquamarine” tag. White tags will no longer be accepted at PC events, competitions & rallies and members should seek to re-tag. Please refer to your own DC or Centre Proprietor for full details.

  4. Results will be posted on the Cotswold Vale FB Event throughout the day at the conclusion of each class and then posted on the PC website and horse-events website after the event. The results for the Spring Qualifier Classes will also be sent directly to Pony Club Head Office.

 

 

Additional Rules and Practices in place for COVID 19

 

These Conditions are subject to change, please check your emails and Area 9 Facebook page in case Covid-19 regulations change at short notice and ensure you are familiar with them prior to coming to the event.

 

  • All competitors, volunteers and support persons must ensure that they do not have a temperature and /or any of the COVID-19 signs before they leave home. ANYONE VULNERABLE OR DISPLAYING ANY COVID 19 SYMPTOMS MUST NOT ATTEND
  • On arrival: Please print an additional number(s) pre arrival and put one in the front of the lorry/car for the gate steward to see clearly. Please park at least 5m away from the next lorry, YOU DO NOT NEED TO DECLARE – JUST ENSURE YOU ARRIVE AT THE WARM-UP ARENA AT LEAST 15 MINS BEFORE YOUR GIVEN TIME, failure to do so many result in you not be able to compete.
  • The number of Competitors in the warmup will be limited. Competitors may only enter the warm-up area on permission of the Steward and then will be sent down to the holding arena next to the International Arena in running order. – there will be a steward to do the jumps in the jump warm-up COMPETITORS MUST NOT GO DOWN TO THE INTERNATIONAL ARENA WITHOUT PERMISSION OF THE WARM-UP STEWARD AT THE TOP ARENA. One support person per competitor will be permitted to be in the collecting rings and warm-up areas with their respective competitor. The support person should move up into the Gallery to watch the competitor’s round.
  • When walking the course please do not touch the fences and keep distanced, face masks are recommended. Hand sanitiser will be available throughout the site – PLEASE USE REGULARLY.
  • Failure to follow these rules you will be asked to leave the site and riders eliminated from the competition and no refund given.

Event Booking Information

This event is being organised by COTSWOLD VALE FARMERS’ HUNT PONY CLUB. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.

Venue Information

Hartpury Equine is home to a range of outstanding facilities. These include the Hartpury Arena composed of a 70m x 40m riding surface which has seating for 600 spectators, hospitality boxes/classrooms, a restaurant and bar; the 80m x 60m International Outdoor Arena with an adjacent 60m x 25m warm up arena and stabling on-site for 230 horses. All of our arenas are surfaced by Andrews Bowen.

Our other facilities include:

  • Three more indoor arenas (60m x 25m, 60m x 21m and 25m x 35m)
