Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Refund minus an admin fee of £3.00 up until Withdrawal date. After the Withdrawal date only refund if replaced from the wait list.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded minus an admin fee of £3.00 per horse and rider combination (Booking fees are non refundable)

Entry information

Open to Individuals and Teams PC branch/team MUST be stated when entering, if no branch is stated we reserve the right to put you in a mixed team. SJ Team organisers must contact the entries secretary before close of entries if you have specific team requirements. Teams of 3 or 4 members, best 3 scores count. Single phase competition – second half will be timed. ENTRIES: £15 PER CLASS PER RIDER (includes first aid). The following will qualify for the Mini Championships at the end of August 2024 at Bicton Arena for each class from 40cm-60cm: – The top Branch team (not mixed teams) if less than 5 teams are entered – Or The top two Branch teams if 5 or more teams entered – The top three individuals, whether they are in a team or not

Rules

• This competition will be run under Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2024. • The judge’s decision will be final. • Start times will be issued for each rider in each class. These may alter on day depending on how fast classes run. Please be prepared to start earlier or later than set time. • Classes will be SINGLE PHASE jumping, the second half will be timed. All competitors may jump the second half unless they have been eliminated. • Every horse or pony to have current in date Flu vaccinations. Boosters within 12 months. • Open to Pony Club Members and Non-Members, Teams and Individuals (entries will be limited so book early). • Horses/ponies cannot compete more than once in each class or in more than two classes. • Competitors may qualify a max of two horses and /or ponies for any Championship class. Riders/Horses/ponies and/or combination of horse and rider can qualify for more than one Championship class. • In the event of cancellation notification will be posted on Horse-events, Pony Club Results and on the event facebook page. Entry fees will be refunded less 10% admin fee. • The Judges decision is final. • All teams must present themselves to the arena steward 10 minutes before their start time. Please note in the current circumstances individuals/team managers are responsible for ensuring their tack is safe. • Hats MUST NOT be fixed peak and must comply with current Pony Club Rule book. Failure to comply may result in elimination. Hats must be tagged with the pink tag. • The wearing of body protectors is recommended. If worn, they must meet BETA 2018 Level 3 standard • The Pony Club Saddlery and Dress rules will be strictly enforced see www.pcuk.org/index.php/dcs_health_safety/dress_and_tack • The warm up arena will be stewarded, and no other person will be allowed in, with the exception of class 1. For classes 2-6 there will be a maximum of 5 riders warming up at any one time. The jumps in the warm-up arena will not exceed the height of the jumps in the main ring. • Riders should maintain a suitable horse length apart from other competitors at all times. • All dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times. • All droppings to be picked up and taken home. • No horses/ponies are to be left unattended when tied to the lorry/trailer.

Prizes & Prize Giving

Rosettes will be awarded in each class: 1st – 6th Individuals and 1st – 4th Teams

Neither the organisers, landowners, nor any person acting on their behalf accept liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horse, rider, spectator or any other persons or property however caused. The organisers of this event will have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. Everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all official stewards.

Competitors who are not members of the Pony Club are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Cattistock Hunt Branch of the Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-members and their insurance will not cover you.
