At Monkton Prep School(sat’ nav’ BA2 5DL)

 

Area 14 Winter Triathlon Accumulator *Class 2 – 9, will form part of the Area 14 Winter Tri Accumulator. 

The aim of the Area 14 Winter Triathlon Accumulator remains to encourage our Area 14 Tetrathletes to compete in at least 3 out of the 4 full Area 14 Winter Triathlons (Wylye Valley, South & West Wilts, Avon Vale and West Hants).  The best three total scores out of a possible four count and they must all be in the same class.

 

COMMUNICATION ON THE DAY, QUERIES: 

We hope to have a WhatsApp Group for all communication on the day – please ensure your entry includes a contact number so we can add you to the group.

We very much want to give the children a great competition and we will expect everyone to play their part in making it a fun day!

 

FOOD: We hope to provide catering on site and will update on the range of refreshments available nearer to the event itself.

 

All classes will be run under PC Tetrathlon Rules 2022, with the additional caveats as mentioned on this schedule with regards to the Covid-19 situation.

Entries & Entry Fees

ENTRIES: All competitors to be paid up members of the Pony Club.  Each competitor may only enter one class

Please note all entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee as stated online. Entries are open and close on Wednesday 23rd March 2022.

Teams: can be entered for each class as a combination of a maximum of 4 members from the same pony club (3 minimum) and may be entered as an extension of your individual entry. Please could the Tet Manager email the organiser, Charlotte Tucker, for any preferences for teams: charlotte.tucker@hotmail.co.uk 

If you need to cancel an entry or change a class before the closing date, please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘MY BOOKING’ Tab. If you would like to change the class, please email: info@horse-events.co.uk and if there is space available they will do this for you.

Prizes

PRIZES and PRIZE GIVING: Scores will be shared online via Pony Club Results (ponyclubresults.co.uk). We hope to have a prize giving with rosettes and medals.

 

Prizes as follows:

  • Team rosettes to the first 6 teams in each class
  • Rosettes to the first 6 individual boys & girls in all classes (where there is sufficient  entries)
  • Medals for Best Shoot, Best Run & Best Swim in each class (boy & girl in mixed classes and where there is more than one entry).

 

Prizes are subject to review if entries dictate. The organisers reserve the right to amalgamate/alter classes if there are insufficient entries.

Class information

SHOOTING: 

  • Protective or prescription glasses are recommended at all levels of competition and are COMPULSORY for competitors shooting at 7m. Guns must be kept in their cases until the Firing Point Steward gives the order to ‘unbox’ them at the start of a detail and must be ‘boxed’ again before the competitor leaves the firing point. At all other times guns must be stored in their boxes and locked in a secure place (e.in a vehicle outof sight). No person under 18 years of age may be responsible for, or carry, a gun.
  • Your shoot targets will be waiting for you on the range. You will be asked to VIEW them to check they are yours, but they will only be handled by the officials on the range.
  • You don’t have to have competed before, but YOU MUSThave been to some shooting training – NO “FIRST TIME” SHOOTERS

 

SWIMMING: 

  • Only one coach/parent will be allowed at the end of the pool.
  • Buoyancy aids will be allowed in Class 1 only
  • Please ask for an outside lane on your entry if required

 

RUNNING: 

  • Running for all classes will take place in packs.

 

TEAMS 

  • If competitors enter individually (not specifying their Team Name), the branch Team Manager may declare teams by email to Charlotte Tucker (tucker@hotmail.co.uk) by the Closing Date.
  • In Minimus, Tadpole and Beanies Triathlon classes, branch teams may be mixed gender.

Full refunds will be given up until the closing date for entries to the competition. After the closing date no refunds will be made. In the event of cancellation/abandonment, the entry fee less £5 will be refunded

If you need to withdraw from a class please log into your Horse-Events Account,  go to your Booking you wish to withdraw from and you will see the cancel option, this actions an automated notification to Horse-Events and we will withdraw and issue refund as per the terms and conditions of the event policy.

ENTRY CONDITIONS & COVID 19

GENERAL:

  • To be run in accordance with Pony Club Tetrathlon Rules 2020
  • Late entries may be accepted at the organiser’sLate Entry Surcharge £5.
  • Queries during the competition may only be raised via the Organiser: Charlotte Tucker, by the DC of the relevant competitor’s Pony Club, or their appointee.
  • Photographic Rights: competitors and their parents/guardians have given permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of the Pony Club and/or Official Sponsors of the Pony Club.

COVID-19: SUBJECT TO REVISION NEARER THE DAY 

  • These conditions are subject to change with any developing guidelines and as such we reserve the right to amend the rules listed below. An up-to-date copy will be sent out with event times.
  • Please ensure you are familiar with the latest rules prior to coming to the event.
  • Anyone vulnerable or displaying any Covid 19 symptoms MUST NOT attend. By attending, you are declaring that neither applies.
  • The event site is a regulated area and everyone on site must comply with the rules and signage. Please followall directional markings and instructions from our stewards/volunteers. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any phase if circumstances dictate
  • Everyone on site must adhere to Government guidance on social distancing at the time and any additional rules enforced by AVPC for this event. You must obey the instructions of our stewards without hesitation. Non-compliance will be reported to your DC and may result in you being asked to leave the event, forfeiting your entry.
  • Entries to be made online, prior to the closing date
  • Please adhere strictly to the times given. If you miss your time, we are unlikely to be able to fit you in later
  • Hand sanitisingpoints will be provided, and these should be used regularly.
  • STRICTLY NO DOGS on site, thank you
  • Please ensure that absolutely no outdoor footwear is worn in the swimming pool area.
  • Please also be considerate regarding outdoor footwear in the sports hall and corridors in the event of poor weather.

 

Event Ethos: We, the Avon Vale Branch of the Pony Club, would like to assume every competitor entering our competition has done so with the prospect of enjoyments and the possibility of improving personal and/or team goals. We warmly welcome those new to tetrathlon/triathlon competition and hope to encourage and enthuse their further participation in this great event.  For parents/carers supporting the competitors, we ask you also to try and enjoy the day and help your children identify the many positive aspects of their participation.

 

 

SCORING & OBJECTIONS:

SCORING & OBJECTIONS: 

Please notify the organiser of any scoring errors ASAP. In order for any objections to be made, the final set of results will be confirmed ASAP on the day of the event.  If you would like to object or have us check your score, you have 15 minutes after publication of the scores to do so and with a £10 deposit.

This event is being organised by Avon Vale Pony Club. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.

  • PARKING is available in the following car parks on the southern side of the campus: SPORTS CENTRE, ASTRO TURF and LONGMEAD. These car parks are accessed via the ‘Clank’ road which is found by continuing down Brassknocker Hill to the traffic lights, turn right then left towards Bradford on Avon. 50m on the left turn sharp left onto the ‘Clank’ and proceed along this road past the playing fields with LONGMEAD car park on the right. Continue on to access the SPORTS CENTRE and ASTRO car parks.
  • When we hold large events we will use some of our playing fields for additional parking but this will be dependent on ground conditions. Car parking officials will be on hand to direct when this happens.
