The Cross Country Course is run on old parkland turf and is designed and maintained by Philip and Guy Herbert.

Burghley PC Members: £65 + £1.75 per class

Area 6 PC Members £70 +£1.75per class

Non-Members and Non Area 6 Members £75 £2.00 per class

Entries Close: Friday 11th September unless full, event usually oversubscribed, late entries if space +£10.

 

No separate start fee or first aid fee, booking fee is non-refundable. In the event of abandonment due to ground conditions or cancellation due to government COVID or sporting guidelines changing, a £5 administration charge will be deducted by The Burghley Pony Club, with the balance refunded.

Times & Course Walk

Class Running Orders

Approximate class start times – will be confirmed after close of entries – before detailed times are published, to minimise numbers on site.

Times will be posted on www.pcuk.org/burghley and www.horse-events.co.uk  on Thurs 17th September by 8pm.

BE style number bibs will be needed with a printed number which you must print out at home (2 for the front and back of bib and third for your vehicle) – accessed via eventing scores and bring with you.

Course open for inspection Saturday 19th September 1pm – 6pm, when gates locked, or can be walked with care on the day of competition.

Updated procedures are based on those in place for British Eventing and will be updated with the times – further info will also be on www.pcuk.org/burghley

Scrores & Dressage Tests

Scores: We will post scores online NOT on event scoreboards to maintain social distancing –www.ponyclubscores.co.uk.

There will be a process to query while maintaining social distancing, which will be listed with the times and at the information point

Dressage Tests – further information regarding sheets will be given nearer the competition date in line with official guidelines.

Prizes

No Prize giving on site – rosettes to 8th place in each section, and to 6th place for Area 6 Eventing Festival Teams. Prizes in kind.

Substitutions after closing date £5 fee. Before the Closing date you can edit your own booking online to change the horse & rider.

AREA 6 FESTIVAL OF EVENTING

AREA 6 FESTIVAL OF EVENTING

Pony Club Members from Area 6 only can enter classes 1, 3, 5 and 7. Individuals from these branches should enter themselves for this competition and state their branch name on the entry form. The Team Competition will be decided by the lowest three scores from each branch in each height class. Sash’s will be awarded to the winning team members and individual section winners. This Competition is running under Inter Branch Competition Rules and Not Area Qualifying ones, as a result any classes entered at this event will have no bearing for future years in Area Competitions, likewise previous Area or Championships performances will not prohibit entry into lower height classes on this date. Many of you may be competing for the first time this year and we wish you to enter at a level you feel ready to compete at.

Conditions of Entry

Entry is deemed to be in acceptance of these conditions:

No Spectators or additional non competing children.

Stewards will assist in warm up areas and no additional people are allowed within any warm up area.

2m social distancing & sanitisation procedures will be in operation.

Dogs on leads at all times.

One rider and one additional supporting person only, except for Under 18 Riders (age as of 01.01.2020) where two parents/guardians are allowed if absolutely necessary. The support person must travel in the vehicle to the event with the rider and ideally be able to drive the vehicle and horse home in the event of an accident. Supporting people must be available to help the rider alongside medical staff in the event of an accident if needed. The names of supporting persons will be asked for at the time of booking. No extra people will be allowed on-site other than the rider, named support person, volunteers and officials.

This event will be run under the Pony Club Eventing Rules 2020 and relevant COVID -19 guidelines in force.

Anyone vulnerable, displaying any COVID 19 symptoms, or from a lock-down area must not attend.

Event Booking Information

This event is being organised by Burghley Hunt Pony Club. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.
