Spring Festival Championships will be held on 8-10 April 2022 at Arena UK.
If you qualify for the Championships but later find you are not able to attend, please let the organisers know immediately so the qualification can be passed down.

Entry Fees:
Classes 1A & B , 3 & 5 ENTRY FEE – £16.00 – To be in accordance with the Pony Club Show Jumping 2022 Rule Book. These classes will be run Single Phase. Entries for these classes are limited and will close when full.
Classes 2, 4 & 6 ENTRY FEE – £18.00 – Area Competitions and the Championships will run in accordance with The Pony Club Show Jumping 2021 Rule Book and The Pony Club Spring Festival Show Jumping 2022 Rules.
First Aid Levy is included in entry fees.
Please note all entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee of £1.45

Entry Conditions: To be judged under BS Table A7 unless there is equality for qualifying places then a jump off will decide. If minor non-qualifying places are needed then time in the first round will decide.
Competitors/Parents are responsible for checking that both the rider and their horses are eligible to compete in these classes.
See the Barrier Animal Health Spring Festival Rules on the Pony Club website. In Classes 2 and 4 places 1-7 will qualify for the Championships if there are up to 50 entries and then on a ratio basis of 1 additional qualifying place per 10 additional entries. In Class 6 the top 4 places will qualify for the Championships. This will increase by 1 additional qualifying place if there are more than 15 starters.

COVID -19 ADDITIONAL RULES: At this point, the following Covid-19 Rules will be in place:
NUMBERS: No numbers will be issued at the venue. Please print your own numbers A4 CLICK HERE and use XC bibs. Please ensure numbers are clearly visible when warming up to assist stewards.
There will be a one-way system around the venue to avoid any crowding. The warm-up areas should be approached by going left from the car park around the back of the indoor arena.
There will be a limit on the number of riders allowed in the warm-up arena at any time. This information will be made available to you at the entrance to the warm-up arena and the numbers will be controlled dependent upon current regulations and space available.

CLASSES START AT 9am PROMPTLY
Start times will be given for each competitor and must be strictly adhered to.
All classes will be drawn order and times for all classes will be published on Wednesday 9th March at www.ponyclubresults.co.uk

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Entries are accepted and admission granted only subject to the following conditions, which are deemed to have been accepted by each competitor.
- Health, Safety and Welfare: The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the Officials and Stewards.
- Legal Liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
- Non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Spooners & West Dartmoor Hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover them.
- A copy of the Pony Club Show jumping 2022 Rules & the Barrier Animal Health Spring Festival Rules 2022 will be with the secretary. - The judge’s decision is final. Any objection must be made to the secretary with a deposit of £15 not later than 20 minutes after the incident.
- The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry without stating a reason for doing so and also reserve the right to eliminate any competitor who in their opinion places her/himself or others in danger or fails to observe rules.
- Entry fees will only be refunded after the closing date on production of a vet or doctor’s certificate presented in advance of the competition.
- Horses or ponies must be 5 years or over on the day of the show.
- No Horses/ponies may be ridden other than by the competitor on the day of the competition.
- The Pony Club Saddlery and Dress rules will be strictly enforced.
- Horse Vaccinations: in line with the most up to date PC rules on horse vaccinations (Jan 2022), an initial primary course of two vaccinations must be given: the second vaccination must be administered within 21-92 days of the first vaccination. Horses may attend events 7 days after receiving the second vaccination of the primary course. (for clarity: no horse or pony may compete on the same day as a relevant injection is given or on any of the 6 days following such an injection). The first booster must be administered within 7 calendar months following the date of the administration of the second vaccination of the primary course. Booster vaccinations must be administered at a maximum of 12 months intervals however horses competing at Area level and above, including Grassroots Regional Championships and the final of the Spring Festival competitions, must have received a booster within the 6 months +21 days (but not within the 7 days) before arrival at the competition.
- All dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times.
- No horses/ponies to be left unattended when tied to the lorry/trailer and all droppings to be picked up and taken home.
- In the event of cancellation notification will be posted on the Spooners fb page. Monies will be refunded less £5 per entry administration fee.
PHOTOGRAPHS: by entering this competition you are agreeing to be photographed whilst competing; these photographs may be used for future publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed, please tell the photographer on entering the arena before you jump.

Rosettes will be presented approximately 15 minutes after the class ends, by which time results should be available on the Pony Club Results website. Please gather, socially distanced, OUTSIDE the Reception area.

Entry fee refunded up to close of entries, thereafter only if the place is filled from any waitlist. All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee as stated online

DIRECTIONS FROM THE EAST OR NORTH
From the M5 Junction 31 follow signs onto the A30 West, clearly signed to Okehampton/Bodmin. Continue along the dual carriageway to the exit sign-posted Okehampton (B3260), then exit the A30. At the end of the slip-road (with the BP garage on your left), turn right and drive down the hill into Okehampton. In the middle of the town you will come to traffic lights opposite the White Hart pub (on the far left). Go straight on at these lights and after one mile, at the top of the hill, turn right (sign-posted Northlew). Continue along this road for half a mile and take the right turn sign-posted Northlew. Continue on this road for 0.3 miles, then go straight on at the Hilltown Cross crossroads. The Grange EC is 1.5 miles further along this road, on the left.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE WEST OR SOUTH
Exit the A30 at Sourton Cross (A386 sign-posted Tavistock/Bideford) following signs to Bideford. Go past the Shell filling station and the Little Chef restaurant on your left, and follow the road for 2.1 miles until you come to a mini-roundabout (Fowley Cross). Turn right, following signs to Bideford. After 0.4 miles turn left at the mini-roundabout (sign-posted to Northlew). After a further 0.2 miles take the second left, sign-posted to Northlew. The Grange EC is 1.5 miles along this road, on the left.
FROM TAVISTOCK
continue North to the A30 main junction at Sourton Cross. Go past the Shell filling station and the Little Chef restaurant on your left, and follow the road for 2.1 miles until you come to a mini-roundabout (Fowley Cross). Turn right, following signs to Bideford. After 0.4 miles turn left at the mini-roundabout (sign-posted to Northlew). After a further 0.2 miles take the second left, sign-posted to Northlew. The Grange EC is 1.5 miles along this road, on the left.
