This event will be under the auspices of the MFHA Governing Body and all competitors will accept and be bound by these rules

Would all competitors please take note that this year, there will be a pen in classes 2, 3 and 4.

Event Classes

The following classes are available for the ATHERSTONE HUNT TEAM CHASE EVENT

Class 1:
SLB Supplies Pairs Hunter Trial This BOGEY TIME
class will be run over a course of approximately 24 fences, height approximately 2ft9in to 3ft3in. It is intended to cater for novice horses/ponies that require cross-country experience. Fence numbers RED on WHITE Riders to have attained their 12th birthday
Class 2 A:
The McDonalds Restaurant Cubhunters Novice Class Section A: This will be a BOGEY TIME class Riders to have attained their 12th birthday
(Teams of 4, with minimum of 3) This class will be run over a course of approximately 24 fences, height approximately 2ft9in to 3ft3in. It is intended to cater for novice horses/ponies that require cross-country experience. The Ann Prosser Perpetual Cup, kindly donated by Mrs. A. Prosser to the winning team, along with prizes kindly provided by Apollo Saddlery
Class 2 B:
The McDonalds Restaurant Cubhunters Novice Class (Teams of 4, with minimum of 3) Riders to have attained their 16th birthdaySection B: This will be a SPEED class against the class
This class will be run over a course of approximately 24 fences, height approximately 2ft9in to 3ft3in. It is intended to cater for novice horses/ponies that require cross-country experience. Riders to have attained their 16th birthday The Riley Challenge Trophy, kindly donated by the Riley Family to the winning team
Class 3
The Howkins and Harrison Open Foxhunter Class incorporating the Skinner’s Pet Food National Open Qualifier
(Teams of 4, with a minimum of 3) The Open Class is a qualifier for National Championships to held in Spring 2018 and will be run over a course of approximately 27 fences. Fence numbers Black on White The Russell Perpetual Cup, kindly donated by Lord and Lady de Clifford to the winning team.
Class 4
Inter Midlands Horseboxes Sportsman Intermediate Class
The Intermediate Class will be run over a course of approximately 25 fences with no fixed fence exceeding 3ft6.The Lampard Perpetual Cup, kindly donated by R.J. Lampard to the winning team.

Entries & Entry Fees

All entry fees include MFHA levy and contribution to medical services.

Class 1 £50 per pair

Class 2 £100 per team

Class 3 £140 per team

Class 4 £120 per team

(All entries include a non-refundable £2 booking fee per class whether it is online or postal entry, included in the above fee).

All competitors must have their own personal insurance.

Crash helmets and bodyprotectors will be checked to ensure they comply with the standard requirements set by the MFHA.

All hats must be colour-tagged prior to use and tags are available in secretary’s tent on the day of the event at £2.00 each.

Class 1 – Prizes for first placed pair and Rosettes to 4th place

Class 2 –  1st Prize £100 – 2nd Prize £60 – 3rd Prize £40 – Rosettes to 6th place

Class 3 – 1st Prize £400 – 2nd Prize £240 – 3rd Prize £120 – 4th Prize £80 – Rosettes to 6th Place

Class 4 –  1st Prize £180 – 2nd Prize £120 – 3rd Prize £60 – Rosettes to 6th Place

 

A representative must be present, otherwise prize money/prize may be forfeit.

Prize Giving:

Class 1 + 2 (A+B): at the end of class 2

Class 3 + 4: at the end of class 4
