Area 3 Horse Trials Qualifier for PC70, PC70+, PC80,PC90, PC100 & Chairmans Cup Qualifying competitions for the JCB Pony Club National Championships, Off Church Bury in Warwickshire 9th – 17th August 2024 & Regional Championships, Kelsall Hill, 26th August

This event is also a Qualifier for the Horse Events National Unaffiliated SEG & Young Horse Eventing Championships 2024 at 80cm 90cm 100cm

No Refunds after the withdrawal date for whatever reason. Before this date full refunds to be given.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

All entries should be made online using www.horse-events.co.uk

Entry Fee: £75 plus a non refundable booking fee as stated online

This is a single booking form process and entries will not be confirmed without payment. All entries will require membership number, Branch/Centre name to enter all classes.

Rider and Horse amendments can be made online by logging into your Horse Events account under Edit Entry. Here you can edit your details cancel your entry or move class up until close of entries. No Amendments thereafter.

NOTE: PLEASE do not follow ANY directions (Sat Nav or Road signs!) that send you through the village of Thrintoft. The road is not good for any vehicle! Please turn off when you see brown tourist sign saying Northallerton Equestrian Centre. Satnav Users enter DL7 0LH

Dogs allowed on site only if on a lead, under control at all times and poo-picked.

Rosettes 1st to 6th in all classes.

Teams 1st to 3rd in classes 1,3-6

Qualifiers

This event is a Qualifier for the Horse Events National Unaffiliated SEG & Young Horse Eventing Championships 2024 Incorporating:

* Amateur ONLY classes – Riders must meet eligibility criteria to ensure a true amateur class

* Open class for young horses – open to all levels of rider with horse 4, 5 or 6 years in their 1st or 2nd year of eventing.

* Schools Equestrian Games Eventing Championships – the Prestigious Schools Eventing series to find the Schools eventing champions.

Championships 21st -22nd September  – Dauntsey Park, Wiltshire. 80, 90 & 100cm

Rules

Rules

These Horse Trials are open to all but will be run in accordance with he rules of The Pony Club Eventing 2024 Rulebook. If you are unsure of the correct dress for yourself and turnout of your horse or pony in any of the three phases, please check The Pony Club Eventing Rule Book 2024. It is the responsibility of competitors to comply with the Rules. Vaccinations will be required according to The Pony Club Rules 2024. It is illegal to travel your horse without its passport; spot checks may be carried out.

All riding hats must conform to The Pony Club Rules 2024. Competitors may not compete without a tagged hat and must wear this at all times when mounted with the chinstrap fastened. A jockey skull with no fixed peak must be worn for all cross country.

Back protectors are compulsory for the cross country phase. Back protectors used for cross country must meet BETA 2018 Level 3 standard (blue and black label). Air Jackets ARE NOT to be worn under any item of clothing. If worn must only be used in addition to a back protector.

Competitors who are not members of The Pony Club are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. Area 3 of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover you.” In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control 50% of entry fee per competitor will be withheld for administration costs.

In Team Classes the best 3 scores will count.

The Judge’s decision is final. Objections to be lodged with the Secretary in writing within 30 minutes, together with a deposit of £50.00.

No unattended horses to be tied to outside of lorries/ trailers

Medical Armbands – It is the competitor’s responsibility to wear a PC/BE medical armband during the cross-country phase if they have a medical condition that may impact on their care in the case of an emergency. Conditions that are relevant includes serious past injuries/surgery, chronic health problems such as diabetes, long-term medication and allergies. If in doubt competitors should consult with their own treating physician. Cards must contain the competitor’s details where indicated and must be worn on the competitor’s arm or shoulder in such a way as to be visible at all times. It is not compulsory for competitors without any medical conditions to wear a medical armband providing there is an adult supporter with them.

Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event nor The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
