Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawal Date: 26/05/2024


Withdrawal refunds will be given prior to the closing date. All refunds will be subject to an administration fee of £5. Withdrawals after the closing date for a competition will not be refunded.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

After the closing date if allowed please make any additional changes via your horse events account. If you unable to please contact Horse Events Direct info@horse-events.co.uk. There may be a fee associated with making changes to your entry.

Entry information

NEW FOR 2024 – COMBINATIONS (horse and rider) can compete at two adjacent heights: PC70 + PC80, PC90 + PC100 OR PC100 + PC110. Please Note – Combinations CANNOT enter PC80 + PC90.   Please enter as individuals stating the name of your Branch/Centre. All team members will also be judged as individuals.

Teams to be made up of 3 or 4 combinations: best three scores to count.

Classes 1A, 2, 3, and 4 – Individuals will be put into Combined Teams where possible – these teams cannot qualify for the Championships, though the Individuals are still eligible for qualification.

Class 5 – Individuals will be put into Combined Teams where possible (by draw) and such teams may qualify for the Championships.

Competition Format

All competitors will jump two separate rounds per class, with the PC90, PC100 & PC110 having a jump off in the event of equality for qualifying place.

Rules

PASSPORTS: horses/ponies will not be allowed to compete without their passport with valid flu vaccinations. Please contact your DC or Team manager who needs to sign off that your horse/pony is compliant with the Pony Club vaccination rule 2024. THERE WILL BE SPOT CHECKS ON THE DAY. A horse with a non-compliant passport will NOT be allowed to compete and there will be no refund of entry. NUMBERS: rider numbers must be printed out by each competitor, ideally from Horse Events – if wearing a number bib please wear front and back. If the number is to be put on the saddlecloth – please do A5 size and wear both sides. Numbers to be printed/written as large as possible in dark ink please. Please do NOT use Bridle numbers.

  1. Teams to be made up of 3 or 4 combinations: best three scores to count. See Rule Book for qualification details.
  2. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, alter the order of the classes, cancel classes, and/or limit entries.
  3. Closing date for entries – 26th May 2024. Withdrawal refunds will be given prior to the closing date. All refunds will be subject to an administration fee of £5. Withdrawals after the closing date for a competition will not be refunded.
  4. TIMES/DRAWN ORDERS WILL BE GIVEN – please see ponyclubresults by the evening of Thursday 30th May. Competitors may be asked to jump up to 15 minutes before their estimated time – please be ready.
  5. Competitor numbers MUST always be visible whilst mounted.
  6. There will be a steward to alter the jumps in the jump warm-up.
  7. Stallions are allowed with prior permission from the Organiser; any stallion ridden by a Pony Club member must have written permission from their DC/Centre Proprietor which must be sent to Holly Dowsing at berkeley@pcuk.org prior to the show day. Stallions must wear stallion discs and ribbons.
  8. All horse/ponies must be at least 5 years old on day of competition.
  9. Turnout for ALL Pony Club members and horses should be as in the Pony Club Rules for show jumping 2024. Long hair should be securely tied back, and hair nets are strongly recommended- Rule 16(a). The wearing of jewellery is not recommended, however, necklaces and bracelets (except medical bracelets) must be removed, as must larger and more pendulous pieces of jewellery- Rule 16(i). Spot checks will be made, and competitors will be eliminated if they enter the ring with incorrect tack or turnout. Rules available on the main Pony Club website.
  10. SPURS: ALL spurs worn anywhere on the showground, by any competitor, must comply with Pony Club Show jumping Rule 16(g) 2024. Misuse of spurs by any competitor will be recorded and reported and may result in disqualification from the competition.
  11. Any abuse of horses/ponies, officials, other competitors, or members of the public will not be tolerated and those found doing so will be asked to leave the venue with no compensation and may be reported to the relevant authority. We are all volunteers hoping to provide your children with a successful day so please be KIND.
  12. Judges’ decision is final. Any objection must be handed to the Day Secretary in writing with a £50 deposit (which will be forfeited if the objection is not upheld) within 15 minutes of the incident and BEFORE the end of that class.
  13. PHOTOGRAPHS: by entering this competition you are agreeing to be photographed whilst competing; these photographs may be used for future publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed please let organisers know in advance of the competition.
  14. Participants attend at their own risk; neither the Organisers or Rectory Farm Arena will be liable for any loss, damage or accident to horses, riders, property, or other persons.
  15. No horses/ponies may be left tied to the outside of trailers/lorries without supervision. Please clear any muck/rubbish and do not leave on the field/lorry park. Please park cars as directed – not by the lorries.
  16. The show will be run under The Pony Club Show jumping Rules 2024. Rules available on the main Pony Club website.
