Groups
Please use the group descriptions below and if you are not sure which one best suits your horse, please call Jack on 07506677245. Event Classes:
- Introductory Group – Trot and Pop – A briefing to discuss the abilities of yourself and your horse. Warm up over cross country fences and tips on how to ride them. Followed by a ride around Belsay jumping smaller obstacles. Suitable for those wishing to educate younger horses. You must be prepared to jump though. Drink stop half way.
- The Steady Away Group – After a brief warm up you will head out with your ‘Field Master’ and jump a variety of fences at a steady pace. Ideally you will be ready to jump walls, rails and hedges. Drink stop half way.
- The Thrusters – Warm up and go. As close to trail hunting as it gets without the hounds. Riders must be capable of crossing country and jumping at a forward pace. Drink stop half way.
- Baby Bounce – a shortened cross country ride for children on lead rein over tiny fences.
- Mini Bounce – for children off the lead rein and more nervous adults – a shortened ride with fences no more than 65/70cm.
Terms and Conditions
Everyone takes part in the Belsay Bounce, Baby Bounce or Mini Bounce at their own risk. Please wear a body protector. The organisers will have a paramedic on hand as well as first aiders and there will be plenty of stewards along the route should you wish to stop or finish early.
