No Refunds after the withdrawal date for whatever reason. Before this date full refunds to be given.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

The official photographer is www.traffordequestrian.co.uk Other than parents photographing their own children, no other photographers will be permitted on site. Photographic rights – participants and their parents/guardians give permission for any photographs taken by the designated photographer at the event to be developed for sale and published on the internet only for the purposes of resale or for Rufford  Pony Club publicity purposes.

 

ROSETTES : Individuals to 6th place, Teams to 6th place (if sufficient entries)

Competition Format

ALL CLASSES IN ALL RINGS WILL RUN AS A SINGLE PHASE

 

Competitors will jump the whole course, unless they are eliminated.

Second part of the course will be timed and approx 5cm higher, faults to be accumulated over both sections. 

Arena start times are provisionally 9.00am, this may change depending on entries but will be published on Monday 1st April with the start lists.

 

Rosette to the best unplaced Rufford member in each class.

 

ALL RINGS –  ENTRY FEES PER CLASS – PER COMPETITOR

 

Rufford Pony Club members £12 plus £1.45 booking fee

Others £15 plus £1.45 booking fee

 

Same horse/rider combinations may only jump in either Ring 1 or Ring 2

and RIDERS competing in Rings 1 or 2 may NOT compete in Ring 3.

Each branch to provide an arena party whilst their team is jumping

RING 3:  BEGINNERS SHOW JUMPING INDIVIDUAL & TEAM COMPETITION 

 

Same horse/rider combinations entered in Classes 9, 10, 11 & 12 CANNOT enter Classes 1 to 8 and may only jump in 2 sequential height classes (i.e. 30cm & 40cm / 40cm & 50cm / 50cm & 60cm) 

As the following classes are aimed at riders who are inexperienced in jumping and designed to encourage them to start competing, riders competing in Rings 1 or 2 may NOT compete in Ring 3.

 

Branches must provide an arena party whilst their members are jumping

All competitors competing in Ring 3 will receive a rosette

 

Lead rein competitors MUST be led by 1 adult.

Assisted competitors MUST be accompanied by 1 adult in the arena.

For Classes 11 & 12 Entrants MUST NOT be assisted in any way, either from

inside or outside of the Arena as this could lead to elimination.

 

·         The judges decision is final in all arenas

·         Where possible we will combine all individuals into teams unless requested not to be in a team in the special requests

·         Entries may be limited

·         Each team to consist or 3 or 4 members, best 3 scores to count

·         No member may ride more than 3 horse/ponies in the same class/competition

·         A competitor/horse combination may compete in 3 height classes BUT only once in each class except for Ring 3 where combinations can only compete in 2 height classes

Terms and Conditions

1. Legal Liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability or any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

2. Health & Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.

3.The event will be run under Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2024, and it is the responsibility of the competitors to make sure that they understand and adhere to the rules. The competition is only open to Pony Club Branch and Centre members.

4. Please ensure that riding hats meet the current Pony Club standard, and are properly tagged with the Pink hat tag. 

5. Any late changes to teams must be made to the Secretary 30 minutes prior to the advertised class start time. 

6. STRICTLY ONLY TWO teams allowed into the practice area at any one time and they must be supervised.

7. Strictly NO mucking out onto the car park, please use poo pickers provided for horse walks/warm up areas.

8. Ages at 1st January 2024

9. The organisers reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any class.

10. The welfare of the horse/pony is the responsibility of the owner/rider, whether mounted or unmounted, and should be fit for the competition.

11. NO prams/pushchairs, wheelchairs or mobility vehicles allowed in any warm up area or horse walks.

12. No refunds will be made after the closing date.

13. No substitutions after teams have been declared.

14. The event venue stipulates all horses/ponies entering the event site must comply with 2024 Pony Club vaccination rules – passports must accompany all horses/ponies and spot checks will be undertaken – no horse or pony to have been vaccinated with 7 days of the event.
