Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawals

Before the closing date please login to your Horse Events Account and cancel your entry. To withdraw after the closing date please contact the event Organiser ros.burridge@gmail.com

Refunds

Refunds before the closing date will be subject to a £12.00 administration fee.

Withdrawals for whatever reason after 12 noon on 22nd June 2025 and before 12 noon on 26th June 2025 will receive a full refund minus a £12 administration fee ONLY on receipt of a veterinary or doctor’s certificate that must be presented prior to 12 noon on 26th June 2025.

Withdrawals made after 12 noon on 26th June 2025 are non-refundable.

Withdrawals after the closing date must be registered with the entry’s secretary in writing via email to ros.burridge@gmail.com

Phone calls and social media messages will not be accepted as a formal withdrawal.

You must notify the on-site secretary if you wish to withdraw during the event.

Event Cancelled by Organiser

If the event is cancelled before 22ndh June, entries will be refunded in full minus a £12 administration fee.

If the event is cancelled after 22nd June there will be no Refund

Team information

All team managers MUST email their teams and individual riders to ros.burridge@gmail.com by NO LATER than Midnight on 23rd June 2025.

Required information: Club, Area, Class, Team Name, Rider, Horse Name, Team Managers contact telephone number and email.

Entry information

Any competitor that wishes to compete on behalf of a Pony Club AND a Riding Club at the same height, must enter the Pony Club class, and note in the Special Requests box the Riding Club they would also like to represent. The Riding Club entry must also have the required British Riding Club ‘Prelim’ entry.

PLEASE NOTE

After entries close, it will NOT be possible for a competitor to ask to ride for both.

All Riding Club entries MUST put their Club (and team when applicable) name in the special requests box.

Dressage Test Sheets

These will be available for collection at the event or leave SAE with the secretary.

Safeguarding Policy

The PC and BRC take seriously their safeguarding and code of conduct, includes the welfare of the horse/pony; conduct of members, officials, volunteers and representatives; safeguarding; equality and diversity; good conduct and discipline; and the social media policies. Examples of the codes of conduct can be found in both the PC Rule books and the BRC Handbook.

Vaccination Policy

All horses/ponies should have received a flu vaccination within 12 months of the date of the competition having already received their initial course of injections. There must be six clear days between the last vaccination and the date of the competition. Random passport checks will be taking place.

Equipment

Protective Headwear & Body Protectors:

All protective headwear (including Jockey Skull) and body protectors must conform to the current British Safety standards. Hats must be checked for compliance by an Official and have been appropriately tagged with a visible current PINK ‘hat tag’ (PC/BRC/BE).

Hats must NOT have a fixed peak in any discipline where there are fixed cross country fences involved, however fixed peaks can be used, for dressage and show jumping ONLY.

All competitors must wear a body protector meeting the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) 2018 Level 3 standard (blue and black label).A body protector of this nature is also required when competitors are wearing air jackets of any make.

Riders wearing Exo Body Cage protectors must inform the secretary at all events, so as paramedics can be informed.

Health & Safety

Health and Safety: The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and to prevent accidents occurring and must obey the rules and instructions of the organisers, stewards and officials.

Rules

All classes will be run under BE Rules.

General Rules

It is compulsory that every person entering the Horse Trials under 18 years of age is accompanied by a responsible adult.

Event stopwatches are permitted, as per BE rules.

All dogs must remain on short leads at ALL times.

Horseboxes must NOT be mucked out on site

The Owner and Organiser of the event reserve the right to remove anyone from the event site at any time without giving a reason.

A Doctor and paramedic team will be in attendance at the event.

A vet and farrier will be in attendance at the event.

Horses must be 5 years of age. Age will be calculated from the 1st January in the year in which it was foaled.

Any complaints or queries must be given in writing to the secretary within 30 minutes of the scores being posted with a fee of £20 which will be refunded if the objection is upheld.

The fall of a competitor in any phase of the event results in elimination. Any rider who falls must be checked by the Medical Officer prior to leaving the site.

Outside assistance is forbidden and will result in elimination.

Legal Liability

Save for the death or personal injury caused by negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event, British Riding Clubs or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss or damage, injury or illness to horses, ponies, owners, riders, spectators, vehicles their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.

Qualifiers

This event is a Qualifier for the Horse Events National Unaffiliated SEG & Young Horse Eventing Championships 2025 Incorporating:

* Amateur ONLY classes – Riders must meet eligibility criteria to ensure a true amateur class

* Open class for young horses – open to all levels of rider with horse 4, 5 or 6 years in their 1st or 2nd year of eventing.

* Schools Equestrian Games Eventing Championships – the Prestigious Schools Eventing series to find the Schools Eventing Champions.

Championships 20th -21st September – Dauntsey Park, Wiltshire.70cm, 80cm, 90cm & 100cm
