About this Event

This competition comprises of Mini and Junior/ Senior competition categories.

An Adult/ Senior HELPER is to be provided from each branch entering and if at all possible for each Team entering.

Teams of 4 – Ages to be 10 years & under on the 1st January of competition year, with one member to be 8 years & under (Minimum of 3 in a Team to compete on the day).

Dress

We recommend that members wear their Pony Club branded sweatshirts and or T-Shirts (shirt and tie are not compulsory), with smart, comfy trousers (no ripped jeans) and suitable indoor footwear.

Parking

Car parking is available on-site, once turning into the Community Centre building.

On site Facilities

PLEASE ensure that members have a substantial snack before the event starts. Hot drinks will be provided on-site, could each member BRING their own cold drinks bottle and adults travel cups.

We will provide light refreshments at the end of the Quiz before Prize-giving.

 

Times

Competition start time to be confirmed after the closing date to Team Managers, Competition Briefing expected to be around midday depending on total number of entries.

Entry information

Entry information:

Branches will need to make entries on behalf of their teams and in doing so certify their eligibility. Ideally teams should consist of 4 members but teams of 3 members may be entered.

A branch that is unable to raise a complete team may combine with another branch within their Area, under approval from a Branch’s DC and Area Representative to enable more members the opportunity to take part in this fun competition.

Team amendments can be made online before the closing date by logging onto your Horse Events account under ‘My Bookings’. If you need to cancel an entry before the closing date please login and press cancel.

Prizes & Prize Giving

The winning Branch will qualify for the National Final on Saturday 20th April 2024 at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. Rosettes will be awarded for team placings.

Additional Details

Branches should provide 1 x adult helper per team entered, to assist with the running of the Quiz. (No Equestrian knowledge is needed for the helpers, all equipment will be supplied).

Health & Safety: Organisers of this event have take reasonable precautions to ensure the Health & Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must adhere to the instructions of the all the organisers and stewards.

Liability: Organisers & Officials will not be responsible for any accidents or damage to persons or property arising from any cause whatsoever connected to this competition. Persons attending do so at their own risk.

Photography: by entering this competition, competitors and their guardians give permission for any photographic and/ or film footage taken of persons taking part in this event to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of The Pony Club and/ or official sponsors of The Pony Club.
