Rules

The Royal Cheshire Show has invited Pony Club to run a 1m Team Show Jumping Competition on their unaffiliated show jumping day.

Enter: Team entries to be made via Horse Events, Area 5 will then submit a block entry to the Show Jumping Show Secretary. Early entry is advised on a first come first serve basis.Entries close 12th June.  Team entry includes a first aid fee. Each entry will include 2 entry admissions for both the rider and groom/accompanying person and one horsebox pass.

Show Class Starting Times: Classes are all pre-entry with times published 2pm the day before competition. All classes will be run in drawn order. All strides will be based on horse strides.

Show Information:

  • Single Phase Competition
  • Competition to follow Pony Club Show Jumping rules 2025.
  • Horses/ponies must only be entered once in each class.

Prize Information: Rosettes to 6th and will be mounted within the ring following the end of the jump off final.

Criteria:

  • Branch team competition of four/three members, opportunity for combined branch teams if insufficient branch teams.
  • Members must be a current member of PCUK and their DC confirms that the horse/rider combination are safe and capable to compete at 1m or above and has attended the required number of rallies as stipulated by each Branch.
  • Same rider/horse/pony combination may not compete in any other show jumping class on the day.
  • Members must comply with hat tagging and body protector rules.
  • A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany the horse/pony to this event and must be available for inspection if required by event officials. Vaccinations must be in accordance with The Pony Club Influenza Vaccination Rule 2025.
  • Photographic Rights – competitors and their parents/guardians have given permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of the Pony Club and/or Official Sponsors of the Pony Club.

Entries are only accepted on this basis.
