Pendle Forest & Craven Hunt Pony Club New Year Triathlon & Area 4 Winter Qualifier 7th Jan

Age on 1st Jan 2024.  Classes 1 to 6 are Area 4 qualifiers, but open to all areas.  First and Second place in each class will qualify irrespective of area and the two highest placed competitors from Area 4. Classes 1 – 9: £18, Class 10: £10 Entries will be via Horse Events www.horse-events.co.uk Due to limited time at the pool entries will be limited, so book early!  If we are oversubscribed priority will be given to Area 4 members competing in qualifying classes. Entries close 30th December 2023.  If you would like to edit your horse or rider details before the closing date of the event please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘MY BOOKING’ Tab If you would like to change the class please email info@horse-events.co.uk and if there is space available we will do this for you. Entries will only be processed following confirmation, via e-mail to kate@blackofootfarm.co.uk from either the Branch DC or Tetrathlon Co-ordinator, that the competitor has received training in the use of an air pistol from a suitably qualified shooting instructor and that they can swim safely.

TIMES AND VENUES Swimming:  8.00am at Pendle Leisure Centre, Crown Way, Colne BB8 9NP Shooting:     11.00am at Pot Haw Farm, Coniston Cold, Nr Skipton, BD23 4ED Running:       11.00am at Pot Haw Farm, Coniston Cold, Nr Skipton, BD23 4ED Times will be posted on the Northern England Tetrathlon and Pony Club Tetrathlon Facebook Groups and e-mailed to either Branch DC or Tetrathlon Co-ordinator.

TEAMS, PRIZES AND ROSETTES • Individual rosettes to 6th place in all classes, • Medals for best shoot, swim and run in each class. • Team rosettes to 6th place (subject to sufficient entries) • Participation medals for all Beanies Teams will consist of 4 members, best 3 scores to count.  Teams can be mixed across classes and branch co-ordinators should identify their teams.  We will put individuals into teams, if not entered in Branch Teams.

*The Tetrathlon Rule Book, rule 50, states that the use of swimming or buoyancy aids is forbidden at any level of competition.  Branch competitions may waive this condition for competitors aged 8 or under, subject to permission of the pool owner. We do not have the permission of the pool owner and therefore competitors must be capable of swimming a 25m length, out of their depth without assistance or flotation aids.  For anyone lacking confidence please ask for an outside lane and we will do our best to accommodate. For those Beanies who are not capable of swimming without aids, we have the Beanie Biathlon class
