Hursley Pony Club Open Team and Individual Mini Arena Eventing

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY All classes will be a series of show jumps followed by a series of arena eventing fences. The arena eventing section will be timed. Full arena eventing rules and scoring system can be found here: https://pcuk.org/media/xffd5tla/bahsf-arena-eventing-rules-engwal-2024.pdf Entries are accepted and admission granted only subject to the following conditions, which are deemed to have been accepted by each competitor: 1.      All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis. 2.      All entries and changes must be done online, before the close of entries. If you would like to edit your horse or rider details before the closing date of the event please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘MY BOOKING’ Tab. If you would like to change the class please email info@horse-events.co.uk and if there is space available we will do this for you. For ALL changes of horse and rider substitutions after the closing date there is a £5 charge please fill out the following form online at: https://www.horse-events.co.uk/rider-horse-substitutions-form/ 3.      The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials and stewards. 4.       It is a condition of entry that each competitor shall indemnify the above mentioned against such matter aforesaid. 5.      Dress & Saddlery Rules – as per the Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2024. A copy of the Pony Club Show Jumping 2024 rules will be with the Secretary. 6.      The judge’s decision is final. Any objection must be made in writing to the Secretary with a deposit of £20 no later than 20 minutes after the end of the class. The deposit will only be returned if the objection is upheld. 7.      The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry without stating a reason for doing so and also reserve the right to eliminate any competitor who in their opinion places her/himself or others in danger or fails to observe rules. 8.      No refunds after the withdrawal date for whatever reason. Before this date, full refunds to be given. 9.      All horses/ponies must be compliant with the current Pony Club minimum vaccinations requirements (https://pcuk.org/search-the-pony-club/?q=vaccination+rule). 10.   Horses or ponies must be 5 years or over on the day of the show and no stallions without written permission from the DC. 11.   No horses or ponies may be ridden other than by the competitor on the day of the competition. 12.   Horses and ponies must be ridden at a walk unless in a competition or warm-up area. 13.   All dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times. 14.   All droppings and hay to be picked up and taken home. 15.   No horse/ponies are to be left unattended when tied to the lorry/trailer. 16.   In the event of cancellation notification will be posted on the Hursley PC website. Monies will be refunded less £3.00 per entry administration fee. 17.   All non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club Insurance and must have their own third-party cover. The Hursley Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-members and their insurance will not cover you. 18.   There will be a photographer at this event. It is the responsibility of any individual not wishing to be photographed to notify them directly. 19.   No horse/pony can compete more than once in each class. No horse/pony can compete in more than two classes. No rider can ride two ponies in the same team. 20.   In the event of over subscription non-Pony Club members will be balloted. 21.   Elimination occurring after the first fall of rider. In the event of a horse refusal, the horse will be eliminated on the third refusal at any one fence and the 5th refusal on the whole course. 22.   There will be no more than 18 jumping efforts in total. 23.   All hats must be jockey skull caps with No fixed peak and must comply with current Pony Club Rule book. 24.   Body protectors are compulsory and must comply with current regulations (2018), and riders must wear long sleeves due to the cross-country phase of the event. 25.   There will be a statutory tack check. You must provide your own number bib. 26.   No jewellery (including watches) allowed. No stopwatches to be worn by riders whilst competing. Long Hair must be tied back and in a hairnet.
