Novice ridden open to all (including LR). Riders any age but must be suitably mounted for the animal they ride. No group cantering other than in individual show.

Riders not to have attained their 9th Birthday before 1st January in the current year. Lead rein to be led by an attendant and shown in a snaffle bridle. First, second and third placed horses/ponies not already qualified in eligible classes will qualify for the Champion of Britain Title classes to be held at Onley Equestrian Centre, Rugby, Warwickshire on 26th and 27th September 2025.

HORSE & PONY SHOW RULES
- The judge’s decision is final.
- Classes will be divided at the discretion of the judge.
- INSURANCE: Gorefield Show Committee cannot accept liability howsoever caused by an individual, animal or vehicle. Gorefield Show Committee strongly advises all participants/riders to have up to date third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in all events, equestrian or otherwise, and for all vehicles.
- Any objection must be made within 15 minutes of the end of the class, in writing and accompanied by £20, returnable if the objection is upheld.
- When mounted on the Show Ground Competitors must wear correct riding clothes, hard hats to the approved B.S.I. Standard of 2025.
- No riders under 3 years of age.
- No rider may carry, use or permit to be used, a whip exceeding 30″ in length.
- Age as at 1st Jan 2025.
- Classes will not be held up on the day.
- The Committee would appreciate entries before the close of previous class.
- Horses & ponies are not allowed to be ridden other than at WALK except in the rings & working in area.
- No lunging due to limited space & health and safety regulations.
- No refunds will be given.
- Small Breed Ridden Stallions not exceeding 138cms riders must be 12 years and over. Large Breed Ridden stallions riders must be 14 years and over.
- A Deposit of £20 per competitor to be paid before collection of trophies.
- Dogs MUST be kept on short leads at all times.
- The committee reserves the right to make changes to scheduled classes without prior notice.
- Short, dark, waterproof jackets only can be worn in the ring in wet conditions.
- No trotting or cantering down the main thoroughfare as this is a danger to the public.
- Stallions must be led by competitor 14 year or over at all times.
- Please don’t skip out lorries/trailers on the Playing Field.
- All online entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis
- If you would like to edit your horse or rider details change class or cancel your entry before the closing date of the event please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘EDIT ENTRY’ Tab.
