Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawals

Before the closing date please login to your Horse Events Account and cancel your entry. To withdraw after the closing date please contact the event Secretary

Refunds

Refund minus an admin fee of £2.00 up until Withdrawal date. After the Withdrawal date only refund if replaced from the wait list.  After Withdrawal date only if a vet/medical certificate is sent to Horse Events by the date of the event.

Event Cancelled by Organiser

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded per class minus an admin fee of £2.00 (Booking fees are non refundable)

Team information

This event will be run under the Pony Club Dressage rulebook 2025, a copy of which can be found here:

The team co-ordinator must email the organiser with team names and members before the 29th June 2025 or teams will be selected at random from the entries, branch teams will be made first and then, where possible, mixed teams.

Branch DC’s are responsible for ensuring the eligibility of the combinations entered in each class for their own branch. Dartmoor Pony Club will check if possible but hold no responsibility for any errors made on this.

Rosettes as follows: Individuals 1st-6th Teams 1st-4th

Prize for Tack & Turnout in each class, kindly sponsored by Clippity Clop Said Fred.

Rosette for highest place member of Dartmoor branch, in each class, kindly sponsored by MRW Landscaping.

Classes 1, 2, 3, & 4 may be called.

Please check that you are learning the correct test – e.g. Preliminary PC70 dressage test 2022 NOT PC 70 dressage test 2022

  • Area Dressage at Ford farm will be run in accordance with the current Pony Club dressage Rules 2025. Please go to https://resources.pcuk.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/2025-Rulebook-Dressage-231224.pdf . A copy of this will be in the Secretary’s tent on the day.
  • The judges decision is final.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to alter any part of the schedule or to refuse entries without stating the reasons.
  • In the event of cancellation, entry fees will be returned, less an administration fee of £2 per competitor, to offset costs.
  • Any objection should be made, to the secretary, in the 30 minute window of the results being published and the results being finalised. Any objections after this time will not be considered.
  • Withdrawals – £2 admin fee will be deducted from any refunds made before the closing date. No refunds will be made after the closing date unless a medical or veterinary certificate is provided within 1 week
  • Spectators and competitors attend entirely at their own risk.
  • All non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and should have their own third party cover and be able to show this if asked. The Dartmoor Branch of the Pony Club and the organisers are not legally responsible for non-members and their insurance will not cover you.
  • Any behavior deemed detrimental to the horse, bad language, or behavior will not be tolerated and will risk elimination without refund.
  • All horses/ponies to be at least 4 years old.
  • Riding hats complying with current Pony Club Rules https://resources.pcuk.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Hat-Rule.pdf
  • Hats and tack checks will be carried out prior to entry in to the ring. Non-compliance = No entry!
  • Lead rein class; appropriate footwear must be worn and we recommend hats are worn by the leader. Lead reins must be attached to the noseband.
  • Number bibs are required for all classes. Numbers available from pony club results when times are published.
  • Correct PC/competition dress to be worn at mounted/unmounted prize giving.
  • Competitors will be responsible for the control of their animals at all times and will be liable for any veterinary/farrier expenses incurred on the day.
  • The organisers reserve the right to vary the order and composition according to circumstance if necessary.
  • All dogs to be on short leads at all times. All mess should be picked up and disposed of appropriately.
  • We respectfully ask you not to muck out your lorries or trailers in the field.

Entries are only accepted on this basis.

The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
