Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawal Date: 21/06/2024


Refund minus an admin fee of £5 up until Withdrawal date. After the Withdrawal date only refund if replaced from the wait list.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

After the closing date please contact the event Secretary shows@chhpc.org to make any changes

Before the closing date please login to your Horse Events Account and cancel your entry. If a refund is due this will be processed automatically. To withdraw after the closing date please contact the event Secretary shows@chhpc.org

Entry information

ENTRIES

 

All entries should be made online using www.horse-events.co.uk. This is a single booking form process and entries will not be confirmed without payment.

For Pony Club entries you will need your membership number and Branch/Centre to enter a qualifying class. Your Team Manager will be emailed with a list of entries so that they can confirm the teams for your Club.

Rider and Horse amendments can be made online by logging into your Horse Events account under ‘my bookings’. Here you can edit your details up until close of entries. Please make sure your team names are entered for all your team.

SUBSITUTIONS

After the closing date substitutions may only be made as per Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2024.

Entry Conditions

Please refer to the Rule Book for the format of your class.  70 and 80 will be over 2 rounds.  90, 100 and 110 over 2 rounds with an additional jump off if needed.

All classes will run on a surface.

All classes will be run in accordance with Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2024. All entries must meet Area Qualifier conditions of entry.

All competitors will need to present for a tack check with their pony’s passport BEFORE they go to the collecting ring to warm up. Please make sure that you report in good time for this. Please check Pony Club rules carefully if your horse’s vaccinations are not compliant you will not be allowed to jump.

All competitors’ hats must be tagged (this will be checked at tack check).

Horse/rider combinations are now allowed to jump 2 heights (except 80 and 90) PLEASE READ THE RULE BOOK CAREFULLY.  We can not guarantee you will jump your smaller class first.  Different heights may be in different rings.  Depending on entries rounds with in the same class may be in different rings.

TIMES AND RESULTS

Competitor times and numbers will be published on www.ponyclubresults.co.uk from Thursday 27th June.

There will not be a physical scoreboard on the day, as all scores will be available online at www.ponyclubresults.co.uk. Any scoring queries must be made to the secretary by a Team Manager, Branch DC or Assistant DC.

Competitors will be expected to keep to their drawn order. Please allow time for the walk from the stable field to the warm up and tack check.

All competitors must print their own numbers and provide their own number bibs

 

Prizes & Prize Giving

PRIZES

 

There will be an unmounted prize giving as soon as possible after the end of each class. Competitors must be correctly dressed.

Rosettes places will be given from 1st to 10th,  with sashes for the winners, for the Team and Individual competition in all classes.

 

Rules

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. The competition will be run in accordance with the Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2024.

2. In the event of large entries, the Novice and Grassroots Regional Qualifier competitions may be balloted.

3. All hats to be worn in the competition must be checked as being tagged, hats must conform to the current Pony Club standards and must have a chinstrap fastened at all times when mounted. In the interests of safety, the organisers reserve the right to eliminate anyone in breach of this rule.

4. Protest and Objections. Please see the Pony Club Show Jumping Rule Book 2024.

5. In the event of cancellation refunds will be processed by Horse Events.

6. Refunds for entries will only be given if a doctor’s note or vet’s certificate is

provided.

7. When not competing all horses/ponies must be kept in the box park or collecting rings, they must not be exercised (including lunging) in the car/box park or among spectators.

8. Horses/ponies competing may only be ridden by their competitor.

9. Please clear up all hay and droppings from around your box/trailer. Please do not tie haynets to the side of trailers/boxes. No horses to be tied up to lorries or trailers.

10. It is recommended that all mares in season and known kickers should wear a red ribbon on their tail. Stallions may only compete with a written letter of permission from your DC, and should wear a disc. No horse/pony under 4yrs may compete.

11. Dogs should be left at home if possible, and if not should be kept on a short lead. Please make sure you clear up after your dog. Absolutely no dogs in any of the arenas or warm ups at any time.

12. For safety reasons, no jewellery may be worn.

13. We are privileged to be allowed to use the wonderful facilities at Hickstead.  Absolutely no entry to the International Arena or the area/roads around it at any time.

14. No bikes/scooters on the showground

15. No pushchairs/spectators in the horse walks

16. Horses and ponies must stick to the horse walks and warm up arenas, grass viewing areas around the arenas are out of bounds to horses.

Reasonable Adjustments are any actions that help to reduce the effect of a disability or

difficulty.  Any requests for Reasonable Adjustment must be made by the closing date of entries.

Entries are only accepted on this basis. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health & safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.

 

PHOTOGRAPHIC RIGHTS:

Competitors and their guardians give permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of The Pony Club and/or official sponsors of The Pony Club.
