Open to Pony Club Members Teams and Individuals

This competition will include a variety of show jumps and cross country style jumps. It will be run as a single phase with show jumps and cross country

Event Classes

The following classes are available for the Wylye Valley Pony Club Arena Eventing Competition ****cancelled ****

Class 1a: assisted 50cm
Class 1b: Unassisted 50cm
Class 2: 60cms
Class 3: 70cms
Class 4: 80cms
Class 5: 90cms
Class 5 depending on entries.

All entries are Subject to a non-refundable booking fee as stated online.

ALL GOVERNMENT AND PC COVID 19 GUIDELINES AT THE TIME MUST BE FOLLOWED PLEASE BE AWARE OF HAT & BACK PROTECTOR RULES

All horses/ponies must have up to date flu vaccinations. Boosters within 12 months

Teams: Event Details

Each class is open to individuals and teams of 3 or 4 members with the best three scores to count. Teams will be made up from different pony clubs but priority will be given to teams with all members from the same club.

The winner being the closest to the optimum time and with the least faults.

There will be a designated person in the practice arena to help the competitors. No other parents or helpers will be allowed into the practice arena except in Class 1.

Rosettes

Rosettes for classes 1-4 will be awarded 1st – 6th Individuals 1st – 6th Teams

Course walks

Course walks will take place in regular intervals throughout the day.

Rules and Conditions of Entry

RULES

  • Each class is open to individuals and teams of 3 or 4 members with the best three scores to count. Teams will be made up from different pony clubs but priority will be given to teams with all members from the same club.
  • This competition will include a variety of show jumps and cross country style jumps. It will be run as a single phase with show jumps and cross country. All competitors proceed to timed section whether faults have been incurred or not, unless you have been ELIMINATED.
  • The winner being the closest to the optimum time and with the least faults.
  • There will be a designated person in the practice arena to help the competitors. No other parents or helpers will be allowed into the practice arena except in Class 1.
  • Course walks will take place in regular intervals throughout the day.
  • We ask that dogs are kept on a lead. Please clear any hay and droppings around your trailers and lorries.
  • This competition will be run under Pony Club Eventing General Rules 2020. The judges decision will be final.
  • No rider may ride more than one horse/pony in any one team. No horse/pony can be ridden in more than two classes.Health & Safety
  • Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.Legal Liability
  • Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

Withdrawals & Substitutions

Withdrawal and Refund: If you need to withdraw from a class please log into your Horse-Events Account go to your Booking you wish to withdraw from and you will see the cancel option, this is an automated process notification to Horse-Events and we will withdraw and issue refund as per the terms and conditions of the event policy.

If a Branch or Centre withdraws a team or Individual prior to the entry closing date, a full refund of entry will be made less an administration charge.

Withdrawals after the closing date for a competition will not be refunded except on production of a vet certificate or medical certificate. Refunds where due after the closing date are subject to an administration fee of £5.

Cancellation Policy Event Cancellation : In the event of the competition being abandoned, for whatever reason, a refund of 50% of the entry will be given.

This event is being organised by Wylye Valley Pony Club. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.

From J23 M5/Bridgwater – A39 Follow signs to Street/Glastonbury.

  • Go through Ashcott village until you reach the junction heading to the A361/Taunton.
  • Turn right onto the A361 Taunton Road, travel through the villages of Pedwell and Greinton.
  • Pass the Greylake Inn on your right hand side and the motor garage on your left.
  • Look for KSEC signs.
  • Turn left into the entrance approx. 200m after the garage.
  • Keep left and go down the track.

From Podimore roundabout A303

  • Take the A372 for approx.. 1 mile.
  • Turn right onto the B3151 signposted Street.
  • Follow road, pass Somerton and through the village of Compton Dundon.
  • Rise up the top of the hill where you come across a crossroads.
  • Turn left over Street Hill and drop down through Berhill to the Pipers Inn junction.
  • Turn left and immediately left onto the A361 Taunton Road, travel through the villages of Pedwell and Greinton.
  • Pass the Greylake Inn on your right hand side and the motor garage on your left.
  • Look for KSEC signs.
  • Turn left into the entrance approx. 200m after the garage.
  • Keep left and go down the track.

From Junction 25/Taunton

  • Follow signs onto the A38. (Please note the new road layout around Monkton Heathfield.) Follow road until you see signs to Glastonbury/Street.
  • Turn onto the A361. Follow through villages of Durston, Lyng, Burrow Bridge and Othery.
  • Go across the open levels and pass the RSPB bird sanctuary on your left, go around the sweeping bend and look out for KSEC signs.
  • Turn into the entrance on your right hand side. The entrance is opposite Moor edge Farm. You will see a large wooden fence with a big willow tree with leylandii behind. Keep Left in entrance with the large King Sedgemoor Equestrian sign. Go through gate and come down short track.

From Bridgwater via Westonzoyland

  • Follow the A372 through Westonzoyland, turn left passed the council recycling centre.
  • At the end of the road turn left onto the A361.
  • Go across the open levels and pass the RSPB bird sanctuary on your left, go around the sweeping bend and look out for the KSEC signs.

PLEASE NOTE.

If you choose to use Sat Nav it will take you to the car sales next door. Lorries please keep to A Roads. We have direct access off the A361 a can be accessed from all directions using A roads. This will avoid going through small villages and lanes. Thank you.
