Event Classes

The following classes are available for the Woodland Pytchley Hunt Pony Club Area 6 SHOW JUMPING TEAM & INDIVIDUAL 2022 AREA QUALIFIER

Class 1 : 70cm
Area 6 PC70 SJ Championship for Teams and Individuals
Riders must be aged 13 and under on 1st January of the current year. Riders are NOT eligible if they have previously completed at any PC80 (Grassroots) or above Area or Regional competition for Show Jumping.
Class 2 80cm
Grassroots Qualifier for Teams & Individuals
First round height: maximum of 0.80m. Second round: max. of 0.80m with two single fences at 0.85m
Class 3 90cm
Novice Qualifier for Teams & Individuals
First round: maximum height of 0.90m. Second round: maximum height of 0.95m
Class 4 100cm
Open Qualifier for Teams and Individuals
First round: maximum height of 1.10m. Second round: maximum height of 1.15m
Class 5 110cm
Open Qualifier for Teams and Individuals
First round: maximum height of 1.10m. Second round: maximum height of 1.15m

Entry Fee: £30 per combination per class (to include First Aid Contribution) plus a non- refundable booking fee set by Horse-Events

NO entries from individual members themselves will be permitted.

Pony Club Branches/Centres will be required to submit membership numbers to enter a class.

This event will be run under the Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2022 which includes several significant changes. Please ensure you are aware of these before you compete.

Format & Eligibility

 

Classes 3, 4 and 5 will be qualifiers for The JCB Pony Club Championships 2022 to be held at Offchurch Bury, Warwickshire, 12th-20th August 2022 (exact date to be confirmed)

 

Class 2 will be a qualifier for the 2022 Pony Club Regional Championships at Horseheath, on Friday 26th August.

 

Format: All competitors will jump two separate rounds. Combinations may only enter one class.

 

Eligibility: Please check eligibility criteria noted in Rule 27 of the Pony Club Show Jumping Rulebook 2022

  • All DCs/Team Managers/Centre Proprietors MUST sign off that any competitor representing their Branch has a valid Vaccination record as per The Pony Club Vaccination Rule 2022. Failure to do so could result in elimination from the competition, and no place at the Championships.
  • All combinations must have genuinely participated at a minimum of three Qualifying Rallies/Coaching/Training Sessions of this or their previous Branch or Centre since 1st July in the previous year, one of which must have been in the current year.
  • All competitors must be aware of rule changes in 2022, specifically the new whip and stirrup rule. They must be turned out correctly with hats tagged and body protectors (if used) to the required standard, with hair tied back in a hairnet and no earrings or jewellery.

Teams to be made up of 3 or 4 combinations: best three scores to count.

Class Five – Individuals will be put into Combined Teams where possible (by draw) and such teams may qualify for the Championships.

Classes Four, Three, Two and One – Individuals will be put into Combined Teams where possible – these teams cannot qualify for the Championships, though the Individuals are still eligible for qualification.

Live results should be available via ponyclubresults.co.uk on the day and will be available on the Area 6 website after the competition day.

Prizes & Prize Giving:

Horsemanship Prize: A horsemanship prize will be presented in each class.

Prize giving: will be unmounted by the Secretary’s Tent, unless Covid-19 restrictions say otherwise – see Times for any further information

WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS

Closing date for entries – 4th July 2022

In the event of abandonment 50% of the entry fee will be refunded, as per PC Show Jumping Rulebook 2022

General Rules

 

Rules & Regulations

PASSPORTS: horses/ponies will not be allowed to compete without their passport with valid flu vaccinations. Please contact your DC or Team manager who needs to sign off that your horse/pony is compliant with the Pony Club Vaccination rule 2022. A horse with a noncompliant passport will NOT be allowed to compete and there will be no refund of entry.

NUMBERS: rider numbers must be printed out by each competitor – if wearing a number bib please wear front and back. If the number is to be put on the saddlecloth – please do A5 size and wear both sides. If the number is to be worn on the back of the rider, then please print at least A5 size. Numbers to be printed/written as large as possible in dark ink please.                             Please do NOT use Bridle numbers.

  1. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, alter the order of the classes, cancel classes, and/or limit entries.

Withdrawal refunds will only be given on receipt of a relevant doctor/vet certificate received by Horse-events by 4th July 2022. All refunds will be subject to an administration fee.

 

  1. If you would like to edit your horse or rider details before the closing date of the event, please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘MY BOOKING’ Tab. If you would like to change the class, please email info@horse-events.co.uk and if there is space available, we will do this for you. For ALL changes of horse and rider substitutions after the closing date there is a £5 charge please fill out the following form online at:

 

  1. If the show is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, refunds will be made via horse-events. All refunds will be subject to an administration fee – £5 per class/combination.

 

  1. TIMES/DRAWN ORDERS WILL BE GIVEN – please see Area 6 website and Pony Club Results on 7th July 2022

Competitors may be asked to jump up to 15 minutes before their estimated time – please be ready.

  1. Competitor numbers MUST always be visible whilst mounted.
  2. There will be a steward to alter the jumps in the jump warm-up.

 

  1. Stallions are allowed with prior permission from the Organiser; any stallion ridden by a Pony Club member must have written permission from their DC/Centre Proprietor which must be sent to Jo Ramage at vwh@pcuk.org prior to the show day, by 4th Stallions must wear stallion discs and ribbons.
  2. All horse/ponies must be at least 5 years old on day of competition.
  3. Turnout for ALL Pony Club members and horses should be as in the Pony Club Rules for Show-jumping 2022. Hairnets are compulsory for long hair, earrings and jewellery must be removed. Spot checks will be made, and competitors will be eliminated if they enter the ring with incorrect tack or turnout.

  1. SPURS: ALL spurs worn anywhere on the showground, by any competitor, must comply with Pony Club rules. Misuse of spurs by any competitor will be recorded and reported and may result in disqualification from the competition.

 

  1. Any abuse of horses/ponies, officials, other competitors, or members of the public will not be tolerated and those found doing so will be asked to leave the venue with no compensation and may be reported to the relevant authority.

 

  1. Judges’ decision is final. Any objection must be handed to the Day Secretary in writing with a £30 deposit (which will be forfeited if the objection is not upheld) within 15 minutes of the incident and BEFORE the end of that class.

 

  1. PHOTOGRAPHS: by entering this competition you are agreeing to be photographed whilst competing; these photographs may be used for future publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed please tell the photographer on entering the arena before you jump.

 

  1. Participants attend at their own risk; neither the Organisers or Rectory Farm Arena will be liable for any loss, damage or accident to horses, riders, property, or other persons.

 

  1. No horses/ponies may be left tied to the outside of trailers/lorries without supervision. Please clear any muck/rubbish and do not leave on the field/lorry park. Please park cars as directed – not by the lorries.

 

  1. NO dogs allowed onsite.

 

  1. The show will be run under The Pony Club Show jumping Rules 2022. Rules available on the main Pony Club website.

Please pick up all droppings at the venue, and do not tie haynets to the outside of trailers and lorries
