Optional routes of approximately 6 to 15 miles
(NB. some routes may be covered twice on longer routes)
The routes are entirely off road through beautiful parkland woods and tracks.
Start number will be given to you in upon arrival.
Start times between 10am – 2pm. (Please do not arrive before 930am)
The last start time for the longer routes is 11.00 am.
Participants Under 13 years must be accompanied by an adult and wear a suitable hard hat.
By prior permission a cyclist may accompany as a groom where their turnout does not accommodate two persons.
Refreshments available throughout the day
A Veterinary Surgeon, Doctor and Medics will be present or on call on the day.

Important Information
- Please arrive at the event anytime after 900am on Saturday April 29th .
- If you would like to do the longer routes please start before 1pm, if you would like to do the shorter route, please start before 2pm.
- On arrival at the park, you will be asked for your name/s and given a rider pack. This will contain your participant number and important information for the day. To make the process run as quickly as possible and to prevent too much waiting, the participant number will be given in arrival order.
- Once registered we will then direct you to the parking area. Please can we request that you park as near to the previous vehicle as is possible to enable us to maximise the space we have available to us.
- If you are meeting another rider for the event and wish to be parked near each other, please can we ask that you meet outside of the park and travel in convoy, as we cannot guarantee that you will be parked together.
- Please be mindful that the event will be busy, particularly at the starting area.
- Please ensure that you return to the start/finish area and inform the marshal that you have finished your ride and collect your rosette.

All Persons entering Grimsthorpe Park must fully insure themselves, their horses, carriages, and their vehicles. BCC Ride and Drive(the event organisers) and Grimsthorpe Estate accept no liability whatsoever for any accidents or incident.
GENERAL RULES
- All turnouts must show evidence of Personal Liability Insurance to the secretary before setting out on the drive. All British Driving Society members are automatically covered. If this is not available then the turnout will not be permitted to participate in the event. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
- All turnouts must include a competent and able groom
- Drivers/Groom/Passengers must be tidily dressed and be responsible for safety attire
- The organisers recommend that all participants wear hard hats but this is optional except for those aged under 13, who must wear safety head gear
- If your horse/pony is shod, please make sure it is well shod and your harness and carriage is safe for the drive – please include your own spares kit
- Turnouts may retire at any checkpoint should they wish to do so, but they must report to a Marshal. They must also check in with the Secretary before leaving the event
- Marshals will be authorised to ask a turnout to withdraw or await veterinary opinion at the start of any check point on the route should they consider it necessary
- The organisers will not accept liability for any damage, accident or injury to any animal,
person or property
- Drivers MUST check out as they return to the start/finish area at the end of their drive.
- The last start time for the longer routes is 11.00 am.
- Drivers must keep to the course and strictly observe all signs on the route, and show due consideration for other turnouts and all other users of the park. It is essential that the estate is respected and under no circumstances are turnouts to race or seen to be competing against each other – this is strictly a pleasure drive.
- No galloping is allowed on the estate
- Entry fees are not returnable if for any reason the turnout is unable to start
- Each turnout must carry a mobile phone and have given the number to the secretary before setting out
- All participants must ensure that their turnouts are of serviceable condition to take part in the drive. The organisers reserve the right to prevent anyone taking part who they feel does not comply with this condition. The organiser’s decision is final.

This event is being organised by The Bythams with Careby and Creeton Ride . Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.
As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.
We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.
