Open to Pony Club Branch and Centre Members and Non Members (must have their own insurance.) The Hunter Trial Course is run on old parkland turf and is designed and maintained by Philip and Guy Herbert. Cross Country Colours permitted.

Event Classes

The following classes are available for the THE BURGHLEY PONY CLUB OPEN AUTUMN HUNTER TRIALS

Class 1: PC80 Pairs – Open to members and non-members. Fences 75- 85cm, 435mpm.
Class 2: PC80 Pony Club Members. Fences 75- 85cm, 435mpm.
Class 3: PC80 Non Pony Club Members. Fences 75- 85cm, 435mpm
Class 4: PC90 Pony Club Members. Fences 90cms approx. 450mpm.
Class 5: PC90 Non Pony Club Members. Fences 90cms approx. 450mpm.
Class 6: PC100 Pony Club Members. Fences 100cms approx. 475mpm.
Class 7: PC100 Non Pony Club Members. Fences 100cms approx. 475mpm.
Class 8: PC110 Pony Club and Non Pony Club Members. Fences 110cms approx. 520mpm.

Individual Classes Burghley PC Members: £20

Other PC Members £22

Non PC £24

No separate start fee or first aid fee, booking fee is non-refundable. In the event of abandonment due to ground conditions or cancellation due to government COVID or sporting guidelines changing, a £5 administration charge will be deducted by The Burghley Pony Club, with the balance refunded.

Entries close: Entries close Friday 15th October unless full, event usually oversubscribed, late entries if space +£5.

 

 

Class information & Scores

There will be an optimum time set at the equivalent Pony Club Eventing Speed per height class. No horse or pony may compete in more than two classes.

Times : Course Walk: Numbers

Times : will be posted on  www.ponyclubresults.co.uk and www.horse-events.co.uk on Thursday 21st October by 8pm.

Numbers:  BE style number bibs will be needed with a printed number which you must print out at home (2 for the front and back of bib and third for your vehicle) – accessed via pony club results and bring with you.

Course open for inspection Friday 22nd October 2pm – 5pm, gates locked at 6pm, or can be walked with care on the day of competition.

Withdrawals & Refunds

Withdrawal:

Before close of entries – no charge – full refund

Withdrawal between close of entries and before times are issued – 50% refund

Withdrawal after times are forwarded to the organiser – 100% no refund issued

All entries are subject to a non refundable booking fee as stated online

Substitutions : 

If you would like to edit your horse or rider details before the closing date of the event please login to your account and edit your booking under the ‘MY BOOKING’ Tab

Rosettes to 8th place in each section, prizes in kind.

 

Event Rules

Entry is deemed to be in acceptance of these conditions:

Dogs on leads at all times.

This event will be run under the Pony Club Eventing Rules 2021 and any relevant COVID -19 guidelines in force.

All hats must be tagged to comply with the Pony Club Hat Rule 2021, with an Aqua hat tag. Hat tagging will be available at the information point.

Body Protectors BETA Level 3 2009 or 2018, must be worn for the cross country phase, and at a minimum, shoulders must be covered when competing. Air jackets if worn for xc, must be over the body protector.

Fall of horse or rider, three refusals at same obstacle or four refusals around the course will result in elimination.

Stopwatches are not allowed in any class.

 

Pairs classes – competitors do not need to jump side by side, but a pair may not jump the next obstacles before their partner has jumped the previous one. Pairs do not need to be from the same branch.

Any competitor jumping an L Fence will incur 15 penalties.

Horses/Ponies should not be left unattended outside at any time.

 

Insurance for Non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club Insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Burghley Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover you.

Event Booking Information

This event is being organised by Burghley Pony Club. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.
