TETRATHLON - Open Boys – 25 years and under
Shoot: 10m turning targets, one hand Run: 1500m(girls) 3000m(boys) Swim: 3 minutes (girls) 4 minutes (boys) Ride: 100cm approx.

TETRATHLON - Open Girls – 25 years and under

TETRATHLON - Junior Boys – 14 years and under

Bean bag throw at target (approx. 3m) Run: 500m Swim: 2 minutes (armbands allowed) Ride: 45cm approx. rustic sj style course Lead rein allowed with 300 penalties.

Entry & Entry Fees

ENTRY FEE –

Class 1-6 £35

Class 7-9 £30 (Tetrathlon)

Class A-I £20 (Triathlon)

ENTRIES –

Entries will be limited and accept in order of arrival.

Closing date Monday 14 October 2019.

Times & Course Walk

TIMES.

Times for all classes will be available at www.horse-events.co.uk after 6pm on Thursday 24 October 2019

Specific ride times will not be available. Approximate class times will be posted at www.burghleyponyclub.co.uk on Thursday 24 October 2019 after 6pm.

Competitors are expected to compete in number order in the class. All competitors must be on time for the ride phase or they will score zero in their section. Please bring number bib – paper numbers will be provided.

Competitors may also enter the hunter trials on Saturday 27 October. However, priority must be given to the tetrathlon round and remember a maximum of two xc rounds are allowed per horse.

Course Walk:

The ride courses will be open for walking 2-4.30pm Friday 25 October – Burghley Park gates are locked at 6pm.

AWARDS.

Individual rosettes to 6th place.

Medals for Best Burghley, Best Ride, Best Shoot (or throw), Best Swim, Best Run.

Team rosettes to 4th place.

 

Teams

****All Triathlon shoot, run and swim requirements will be the same as their corresponding Tetrathlon class.*****

Teams to comprise 3 or 4 competitors

Team managers must ensure that all team members are aware of the guidance notes relating to the dress code while shooting and to the handling of guns.

Pistols must be in the possession of an adult at all times and not unboxed until authorised to do so by the shooting steward on the range. When not in use guns must be locked out of site. Guns and pellets must comply with PC Tetrathlon regulations.

DRESS AND EQUIPMENT.

DRESS AND EQUIPMENT.

Competitors are expected to conform to Pony Club requirements for dress and equipment.

Team Managers must ensure that competitors are fully briefed as to what is required.

Outside assistance in any phase will result in elimination.

Entry fees will not be refunded after closing date for entries. Entries on a strictly first come basis will be limited. No change of class will be allowed after the closing date.

Objections in writing or challenges to scores with £20 deposit will be accepted by designated team managers only within 30 minutes.

No dogs allowed at Stamford School. Dogs are allowed at Burghley Park but must be kept on short leads.

Please do not leave litter, muck or bedding in the lorry park.

The event is run to the Pony Club Hat Regulations 2019 and will be checked and tagged on collection of numbers.

All competitors in the ride phase must wear a body protector that complies with the 2019 rule and medical armbands advised if unaccompanied.

This event is being organised by Burghley Hunt Pony Club. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

Home to the Burghley Hunt Pony Club Hunter Trials running over Old Pasture, a traditional Hunter Trials course built by Phillip & Guy Herbert.
