In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

NUMBERS COMPETITORS TO PRINT THEIR OWN NUMBERS AND PROVIDE THEIR OWN NUMBER BIBS
PLEASE ENSURE YOUR NUMBER IS CLEAR AND CAN BE READ FROM A DISTANCE

Rosettes to 6th place in each class The Ardmillan Plate will be awarded to the highest placed TVHPC member in class 6

The health and safety of all competitors, judges, volunteers and parents/guardians must remain paramount at all times.
Ages as of 1st January 2024.
Do not attend if you or your horse is unwell.
Do not forget your horse passport.
Riding hats must comply with the Pony Club rules 2024 which can be found at http://www.pcuk.org
Back protectors must be worn for Cross Country and must comply to current BETA 2018 Level 3 standards.
The course will be run under optimum time rules.
Pairs classes will include ‘dressing fences’.
3 refusals at any fence is an elimination and if in the timing section, they must vacate immediately.
After 3 refusals riders may only proceed to the next fence with permission from the fence judge as long as they do not hinder or obstruct any following competitors.
After 4 cumulative refusals over the course, riders will be asked to stop and will be unable to continue over any other fences.
A fall on any part of the course is an elimination and you will not be able to continue.
Competitors must give way to faster horses.
Eliminated riders must miss out the timed section.
No horse may compete more than twice.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry.
Results will be posted on the Pony Club official “Live results” website
All dogs must always be kept on leads.
No GOPROS or timing watches permitted.
Should we need to cancel the event, then 50% of your entry fee will be refunded.

Entries are only accepted on this basis.
The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Taunton Vale Harriers Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their insurance will not cover you
This event will be run in accordance with the Pony Club rules for Eventing 2024 Pony Club rules for Eventing are available to download from the Pony Club Website www.pcuk.org and a copy will be held with the secretary on the day of the competition. This includes PC /Centre members wearing the correct Pony Club attire.
No horses or ponies less than four years old and no Stallions without permission of our DC.
The organiser’s decision is final and they reserve the right to reject the entry or entries made by any person if they deem fit to do so and the right to cancel any classes, refunding any fees in respect thereof after costs. No refund of entry fee without vet’s or doctor’s certificate. The judge’s decision is final.
Any objections are to be made to the secretary within 30 minutes of the incident, together with £10, refundable at the discretion of the committee.
Body protectors to BETA 2018 Level 3 standard (blue and black label). must be worn on the course and there will be a statutory tack check.
No horse / pony may be ridden more than twice around the course or once in any class.
No mounted competitor is allowed on the course prior to the official start.
If any horse is deemed unfit or unwell the organisers have the right to have the animal removed from the showground.
Competitors having difficulty with an obstacle must clear the area if a following competitor is approaching the obstacle.
Course may not be ridden by competitors prior to the competition once the course has been flagged. It is a condition of entry that competitors keep to the flagged route to minimise damage to crops. Failure to do so will incur elimination.
No jewellery (including watches) allowed. No stopwatches to be worn by riders whilst competing.
Long hair must be tied back and in a hairnet.
Outside assistance is forbidden and will result in elimination of the competitor.
The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any competitor/supporter showing cruel or discourteous behaviour or on the grounds of Health & Safety.
