Entries and Entry Fees

PAIRS CLASS – £5 PER RIDER MUST BE PAID FOR AT TIME OF ENTRY.
All entries are subject to a non refundable booking fee £1.85 per entry
Start fee: £10 payable online – a link to pay your start fee will be with your event times.
ALL Start fees should be paid for before attending event (In the event of not being able to attend after paying your start fee this will be refunded)
Late entries may be accepted online if classes are not full an additional £10.00.
Registration, Start Fees & Numbers

On arrival at the venue you will be checked in either via a drive through system, or at a registration point once parked. Start fees will need to be paid for in advance online and prior to arrival.
Programs & Course maps will be available digitally and a copy the xc course will be located at the XC start.
Competitor Numbers will need to be printed by each competitor which can be downloaded from the website, when paying your start fee and getting your times.
Any person entering the venue must abide by the Government Guidelines with regards to Coronavirus, abiding by the up to date social distancing rule at the time of the event and any additional rules enforced by Horse Events for the event.
Failure to follow these rules you will be asked to leave the site and riders eliminated from the competition and no refund given.
Withdrawals & Event Cancellation Terms & Substitutions
Substitutions
If you wish to change both horse and rider, you will need to cancel your entry and make a new one with full payment.
Any substitutions to either rider or horse can be made yourself, by logging onto your Horse-Event account and making that change free of charge.
However, after the closing date, this Horse Events Substitution Form must be completed with a £5 payment, in order for us to make any changes on your behalf.
Withdrawal Policy – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Closing & Withdrawal date – 10 days before the starting date of the competition
ALL Withdrawals must be registered by email to: info@horse-events.co.uk
Please note if withdrawing after the closing date in order to obtain your refund we MUST receive a vet’s or doctor’s certificate. No later than the Monday following the event to obtain a refund.
Withdrawal policy depending on date of withdrawal:
- Withdrawals for whatever reason before the closing date will receive a refund minus the £10 admin fee.
- Withdrawals made AFTER the Closing & Withdrawal date (10 days before the competition) for a veterinary to the horse or medical reason to the rider, are non-refundable unless a replacement from our wait list is found. In this situation a full refund will be given minus the £10 admin fee.
(If entries are open and their is no wait list – no refunds will be issued) - Withdrawals made 24 hours before the event starting for whatever reason are non-refundable. The event start date is taken as the first day of competition
Event Cancellation
As you can appreciate at this time, we cannot insure against cancelling due to Covid 19. In the event of cancellation for any reason all entries will be refunded minus a £15 cancellation charge per entry.
When refunds are due please note these will be processed back onto the card you paid on.

COURSE WALKING
The XC Course will be open for walking between 2pm – 8pm on Friday 30th April for ALL competitors –
Please read the updated rules regarding access whilst teh competition is running and the designated course walking times. – THIS WILL BE PUBLISHED WHEN TIMES ARE RELEASED
For those walking the course in advance of the day they are riding, Please only bring one additional person when walking the course to help limit the number of people onsite.
When the event is running you will be asked for you competitor number on arrival, please have this to hand.
Scoring, Results & Prizes
All results will be online and available at https://www.horse-events.co.uk/live-results/
Dressage sheets will be electronically emailed to you on the Monday after the event from dressage@horse-events.co.uk
There will be no formal prize giving please do NOT wait around for your final results, after you have finished riding we would ask you to leave the venue as soon as you can.
In order for any objections to be made the final set of results will be confirmed at 8pm on the day of the event. If you would like to object or have us check your score you have until 7pm on the day of the competition to do so. Objections must me made to info@horse-events.co.uk or text 07962 251 696.
Rosettes to 8th will be posted
1st Prize if suitable will be posted or can be collected from the next Horse Events Competition
2nd & 3rd Prizes can be collected from the next Horse Events Competition.
Age
Age of Competitor: Must be over 7 years of age on the date of competition.
Volunteer
Volunteer – if you can provide us with a volunteer for either day of the event, this would be hugely appreciated. Those that volunteer get priority entry at any Horse Events Organised ODE.
and if wait listed will be accepted before those that are not providing a volunteer.

All Classes Qualifiers for the Horse Events Unaffiliated & SEG Championship 25th & 26th September at Calmsden.
All 2020 Qualifying Competitors are eligible for the 2021 championships at Calmsden on the 24th & 25th September 2021

How to Qualify
- Throughout the season the competitions are individual qualifiers -teams will then be made at the championships if schools have enough members from their school who have qualified individually to make up a team.
- Teams- Maximum of 2 teams per school per height at the championships.
- Top 8 qualify if section starters 30 or less, top 10 qualify if more than 30 starters per section.
- Qualification is passed down the line in the event that those placed have previously qualified.
- The same horse and rider combination qualify- no substitutions can be made.
- Each competitor rides for the school they currently attends – school leavers (17/18 years) ride for their previous school.
Horse Events Unaffiliated Eventing Championships for 2021. (HEQ)
This championship is aimed for the amateur rider who does not class themselves as a professional rider of course this is hard quantify the following criteria have been put in place to encourage a fair competition for all involved. obviously this is self policed as we cannot track past results from other unaffiliated event. Honesty is paramount PLEASE BE FAIR TO ALL RIDERS INVOLVED IN THIS COMPETITION

How to qualify
Be placed in the top 5 of Eligible starters at any 80, 90 or 100 unaffiliated event hosting a Horse Events Qualifier (HEQ) and be eligible under the following criteria.
For the 80cm & 90cm No rider to have competed above BE Novice or equivalent in the last three years.
For 100cm No rider to have competed above BE Intermediate or equivalent in the last three years.
In the event of qualifying for two heights the combination must compete at the championship at the highest height they qualified for.
No horse or rider substitutions at the championships
Special prizes to be awarded at each height at the Championships
- Highest placed individual that is not employed in any equestrian related field and purely is a Hobby rider with only 1 horse.
- Best Veteran rider over 50
British Connemara Pony Society Eventing Championship
All Classes are qualifiers for British Connemara Pony Society Eventing Championships 12th September @Swalciffe Park Equestrian
To qualify just go double clear at one of the Qualifiers and sign up to the BCPS before entering the final.
Qualifier rosettes can be collected from the drive through before leaving the event. Open to Full and Part bred Connemara Ponies.
NEDZ BED PAIRS CLASS
- Pick your Pair -This can either be at the same height class or different. Come up with a name for your combination.
You can either ride on the same day or different days. - The results from the individual placings are awarded points based on your ranking within the section.
- The points from each combination are combined to determine the winning combination.
- The Winning Pair win a pallet of Nedz Bed to share, plus £100, rosettes, sashes and a trophy.
- 2nd & 3rd place will win £100 plus rosettes and sashes.
- Rosettes to 10th place for pairs.
£50 – Best Family Pair- plus the second pallet of bedding? Let me know your thoughts on the bedding allocation.
£50 – The oldest combined age of horses and riders.
Vaccinations
All horses must be vaccinated
We work on a annual basis.
There must be 6 clear days between any vaccination injection given and the date of the event. – NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE
Catering
There will be catering onsite. Please remember social distancing.
Food to be eaten at your vehicle and all rubbish to be taken home and disposed of
Toilets & Handwashing
Toilets & Washing facilities
There will be an increase in the number of porta loos onsite to try and reduce usage please do not forget to go to the loo before you leave home. Sanitiser will be available at all loos on the outside. We recommend also bringing your own sanitiser, towels, or wipes.
Hand washing and hand sanitising stations we will be provided throughout the site please use them as many times as you wish. Wash/ sanitise your hands regularly and especially after touching something that has been touched by other people.
All our volunteers and officials will be provided with gloves and masks please bring your own if you wish to wear additional protection.
Photographs
People must expect to have their photograph taken at many of our events and we reserve the right to publish suitable photographs of those attending, along with the names of members involved. If you do not wish for your photo to be published please inform the secretary at the individual event with your competitor number and your photo will not be published. If you would like an existing published photo to be removed from our Media please email info@horse-events.co.uk and we will do so immediately.

Personal Injury and Equipment Insurance Notice
The venue owner or Horse Events Ltd does not insure the rider, your horse or your tack and equipment. You are always strongly advised to have in place your own adequate personal accident insurance .
The Venue, Horse Events Ltd or anyone involved in the organisation of the event will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss to any person or their property however this may be caused. Including Covid 19.
Health and Safety
The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the rules and instructions of the organisers and stewards/officials.
General Terms & Conditions
General Terms & Conditions
- This horse trials will be run under British Eventing competition rules unless stated in this schedule.
- It is compulsory that all riders wear hats/helmets up to British Standard Riding Hats conforming to All PAS 015, VG1 – provided they are BSI Kitemarked, European – VG1 – provided they are BSI Kitemarked American –All SEI ASTM F1163 04a onwards and SNELL E2001 Australian & New Zealand – AS/NZS 3838 2006 onwards.
All Hats must carry a Horse-Events Tag or 2018 Turquoise British Eventing/PC or RC tag - Riding is a risk sport and it is compulsory that all riders wear body protectors to the latest Beta Standard when going Cross Country – we no longer permit the use of BETA Level 3 body protectors with a 2000 label. Air Jackets may be worn but must be worn over a body protector. It is highly recommended you also wear your Body Protector when Show Jumping.
- It is compulsory that every person entering upon the Horse-Events venue who is under the age of 18 years of age is accompanied by a responsible adult.
- All horses must be vaccinated Horse Events ODE’S work on an annual basis. There must be 6 clear days between any vaccination injection given and the date of the event.
- Event stopwatches are allowed for the Cross Country Phase
- We strongly advise not to bring your dog to the event site. Dogs but be kept at the vehicle in the lorry park at all times and not bought onto the competition site. A fine of £100 will be implemented for anyone not adhering to this rule. The Only Dogs allowed on the competition site will be those of officials, event volunteers and must be kept on leads at all times.
- It is compulsory that horseboxes are not to be mucked out on site.
- The Management of the venue & Horse-Events reserves the right to remove anyone from the course at any time without giving a reason.
- You note and accept there will be a paramedic, technician, doctor and 4×4 ambulance vehicle on site.
- A vet will be present at the event and a farrier will either be present or on call.
- The Event may be cancelled without notice. It is recommended that you check the website www.horse-events.co.uk before departing.
- All horses/ponies must be 4 years and over.
- Fall of competitor in any phase of the event will result in elimination. If competitors fall off in the warm up they must be checked by the doctor before re mounting. All falls must be checked by the doctor before leaving the venue.
- Outside assistance is forbidden and will result in Elimination.
- Riding horses is a high-risk sport and riders taking part in this event acknowledge this and do so at their own risk and that the organisers and land owners will not be accountable or responsible for any loss, damage or injury to rider, horse or equipment however caused, including Covid-19.

This event is being organised by . Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.
As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Established in 1997 as a cross country training facility, SPE now offers the ideal setting for training and competitions for riders and their horses of all ages and levels.
With over 120 cross country elements built by Olympic course builder Richard Taylor, director of SPE- there’s something for everyone!
Swalcliffe Park is mainly known for its top class cross country schooling facility and courses. Built by 4**** course builder Richard Taylor, Swalcliffe Park is decorated with numerous feature fences such as the infamous caterpillars, the Ariat ducks and new for 2013, the Blenheim fox; each creating a real educational experience for horses and riders of all ages!
With over 150 fences ranging from 50cm to 1.10m (Novice height), combinations including three water complexes, banks and ditches over undulating ground, Swalcliffe Park has something to offer everyone looking to go cross country schooling.
