And the SWWRC teams Championship at Hartpury on 20th Aug 2022

Event Classes

The following classes are available for the SHIPTON RIDING CLUB BRC AREA 12 SHOW JUMPING QUALIFIER 2022

CLASS ONE: 70cm
for Senior and Junior Teams and Individuals
CLASS TWO: 80cm
for Senior and Junior Teams and Individuals
CLASS THREE: Open 80cm
– Mixed Class for Senior & Junior Individuals
CLASS FOUR: 90cm
for Senior and Junior Teams and Individuals
CLASS FIVE: 100cm
– a mixed class open to Senior and Junior teams and Individuals; teams may be any combination of Seniors and/or Juniors.
CLASS SIX: 110cm
- a mixed class open to Senior and Junior teams and Individuals; teams may be any combination of Seniors and/or Juniors.

Entries & Entry Fees

Entries are to be made on www.horse-events.co.uk

Entry Fee: £20 per combination (plus the prelim fee which is paid directly to BRC)

Stating whether senior/junior and if individual or team complete with name.

Team members will automatically be entered as an individual as well.

Remember if you have not entered a prelim entry as above – you will not qualify for the National championships

You can enter just as an area entry if you wish.

 

Closing date for entries: Wed 27th July 2022

Declarations to be emailed to the show secretary by Fri 29th July 2022

 

Prelim entries must be received by the BRC Office & paid for by 15:00 Sat July 9th 2022; late pre-entries are subject to a surcharge

The Competition

The Competition will be run under the BRC 2022 Handbook – it is the competitors’ responsibility to

ensure that they comply with the 2022 Rules as laid down in the Handbook.

All classes are single-phase format with a timed section as the 2nd phase as allowed in the 2022 BRC rulebook. The single phase will in in the main arena.

The order that the classes are run on the day may be altered, depending on entry numbers.

Any changes required prior to closing date can be done by logging on to www.horse-events.co.uk and then alter your entry. No late entries will be accepted

 

NUMBERS Competitors must print their allocated number and provide their own number bib.

Withdrawals: Full refund up until closing date, after closing date refund only if replaced from the wait list.

The Judges’ decision is final.

Rules and Regulations

Legal Liability: neither the Organisers or any persons acting on their behalf accept any liability for loss, damage, accident or illness to ponies/horses, riders, spectators or any other persons or property.

The Committee reserves the right to alter or amend the schedule.

4. Objections must be handed to an official no later than 30 mins after the incident,30 mins after results have been published, must be lodged in writing with a £20 deposit as per BRC handbook.

5. Protective headgear (approved to current BRC regulations) must be worn at all time by anyone riding at a BRC event. Harness must be correctly adjusted & fastened. Failure to do so will incur elimination.

6. The competition will be run according to the Show jumping rules in the 2022 BRC Handbook.

7. Horses may compete at consecutive heights (e.g., 70cm & 80cm, 80cm & 90cm etc). Horses may only compete twice in show jumping classes.

8. The Committee reserve the right to ask anybody to leave the show ground.

9. If attending the Show on your own – you MUST leave an emergency contact name and (mobile) telephone number with the Show Secretary when you arrive.

10. Photographs: by entering this competition you are agreeing to be photographed whilst at this event: these photographs may be used for future publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed, please tell the photographer on entering the arena before you start your round.

11. Please do not leave horses/ponies tied to the outside of lorries/trailers unsupervised; if horses/ponies are known to get distressed when left on lorries/trailers please ensure that there is always someone with them.

Please do not muck out onto the field/parking area, and please remove any droppings.

12. Times will be given, and we ask that you do your best to adhere to them – if you think you will miss your time then please let the collecting steward know asap and they will try and fit you in before the end of the class. Please be ready at least 15 minutes before your given time – if we get ahead, we stay ahead: if we get behind, please be patient, there has probably been an incident.

13. Flu vaccinations – Horse must have up to date influenza vaccination in line with rule G7 in the current BRC handbook. This includes the 6-month rule. Please note equine passports may be checked.

14. Team managers -Please check the horse & rider eligibility in the BRC handbook before entering Team Managers please check all horses flu vaccinations are correct to BRC Rule before entering.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY FOR THIS EVENT

Covid is still very real -please adhere to any current government guidelines.

We don’t want anyone to take home anything more than rosettes.

  2. The event is organised in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and all who have (to any extent) control of premises or site at the event are responsible for ensuring that:
  3. everything reasonably practicable is done to ensure the Health & Safety and Welfare of those attending the
  4. those attending the event conduct themselves so that they do not put themselves or anyone else at
  5. access to and egress from the site is safe.
  6. Emergencies-emergency services must always have access to all parts of the event site and members of the public must not park vehicles so as to obstruct access. First Aid points are clearly

In case of emergency, members of the public should contact the nearest official or dial 999 on the nearest telephone.

This event is being organised by THE Seavington BRANCH OF THE PONY CLUB. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

From J23 M5/Bridgwater – A39 Follow signs to Street/Glastonbury.

  • Go through Ashcott village until you reach the junction heading to the A361/Taunton.
  • Turn right onto the A361 Taunton Road, travel through the villages of Pedwell and Greinton.
  • Pass the Greylake Inn on your right hand side and the motor garage on your left.
  • Look for KSEC signs.
  • Turn left into the entrance approx. 200m after the garage.
  • Keep left and go down the track.

From Podimore roundabout A303

  • Take the A372 for approx.. 1 mile.
  • Turn right onto the B3151 signposted Street.
  • Follow road, pass Somerton and through the village of Compton Dundon.
  • Rise up the top of the hill where you come across a crossroads.
  • Turn left over Street Hill and drop down through Berhill to the Pipers Inn junction.
  • Turn left and immediately left onto the A361 Taunton Road, travel through the villages of Pedwell and Greinton.
  • Pass the Greylake Inn on your right hand side and the motor garage on your left.
  • Look for KSEC signs.
  • Turn left into the entrance approx. 200m after the garage.
  • Keep left and go down the track.

From Junction 25/Taunton

  • Follow signs onto the A38. (Please note the new road layout around Monkton Heathfield.) Follow road until you see signs to Glastonbury/Street.
  • Turn onto the A361. Follow through villages of Durston, Lyng, Burrow Bridge and Othery.
  • Go across the open levels and pass the RSPB bird sanctuary on your left, go around the sweeping bend and look out for KSEC signs.
  • Turn into the entrance on your right hand side. The entrance is opposite Moor edge Farm. You will see a large wooden fence with a big willow tree with leylandii behind. Keep Left in entrance with the large King Sedgemoor Equestrian sign. Go through gate and come down short track.

From Bridgwater via Westonzoyland

  • Follow the A372 through Westonzoyland, turn left passed the council recycling centre.
  • At the end of the road turn left onto the A361.
  • Go across the open levels and pass the RSPB bird sanctuary on your left, go around the sweeping bend and look out for the KSEC signs.
  • Turn into the entrance on your right hand side. The entrance is opposite Moor edge Farm. You will see a large wooden fence with a big willow tree with leylandii behind. Keep Left in entrance with the large King Sedgemoor Equestrian sign. Go through gate and come down short track.

PLEASE NOTE.

If you choose to use Sat Nav it will take you to the car sales next door. Lorries please keep to A Roads. We have direct access off the A361 a can be accessed from all directions using A roads. This will avoid going through small villages and lanes. Thank you.
