We are pleased to be able to share our events with you, however to be able to run the training / rallies we are required to follow Government, Local Authority and Pony Club Covid-19 rules.

Please support us by following the rules and don’t compromise the rally organiser, coach, committee member or venue by bending them – non-compliance will result in members being asked to leave the event as advised by Pony Club Central Office.

Please book with the following in mind:

  • If you have any symptoms or suspect you may have been exposed to the virus, please stay at home
  • If your or your horse/pony reside in a post code area which becomes locked down, please do not attend
  • If you or anyone from your household are feeling unwell – go home without approaching other members/parents
  • On the booking via horse-events please indicate name of parent/helper attending and contact phone number to adhere with track and trace requirements

Who can attend:

  • Parents/carer must stay clear of the teaching area, in/by their own vehicles (unless member is on lead rein / just off / assisted) and remain on site – should assistance be required you will be called over by the coach / group contact
  • Only members of the same family should travel to the rally together. Only one member of the family to accompany the riding member and siblings are to be left at home, spectators / visitors must not attend
  • Unfortunately, this also means that members/parents must not go from one group to another group to see friends (i.e. keep to their own “bubble” of 6 max)

On day protocol:

  • All attendees at the rally/training must observe the 2-metre rule
  • No dogs allowed on site (even those kept within vehicles)
  • Hats must be tagged inline with turquoise tag, please ensure rally organiser is aware before the day if your hat needs tagging
  • Park in your allocated place, this will be included in rally confirmations to minimise movement on site
  • PPE will be provided for the first aider only, coaches to provide their own. MOST IMPORTANTLY everyone MUST wash/sanitise their hands before and after the session
  • Please respect the venue we are using by not touching gates or fencing etc where possible. Be aware that there will be no toilet facilities so you must make your own provision for this.
  • Members must be tacked up and waiting beside their vehicle until called to avoid delay
  • No masks to be used by members while riding
  • Coaches are asked to keep a 2m distance from the member, therefore stirrup length and girths must be checked by the riders’ accompanying person before starting the lesson
  • Do not help with dropping picking and pole lifting, this will be done by the coach in the arena. However, it is your responsibility to ensure the area around your trailer/lorry is clear of litter, hay, droppings etc before you leave
  • Please leave promptly at the end of your session
  • No photography on social media please, unless approved by RHPC DC
