The Cross Country phase of the competition is a qualifier for the Eland Lodge Hunter Trial Championships

ENTRY FEES OBH(South) Members – £5 discount for all classes.
Classes 1 & 2 £28 per rider – including paramedic fee
Classes 3, 4, 5 & 6 £33 per rider – including paramedic fee

All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis

COURSE
COURSE INSPECTION – the Cross Country course will be available for inspection from 13.00 hrs on Friday 21st April and all day Saturday 22nd April. The Show Jumping course must be walked on the day of the competition.
Please Note: XC Course walking on the day of the Competition is allowed also, but care must be taken as the course will be live.

OBHS Classes 2 & 3 qualify for Eland Lodge 50cms class
OBHS Classes 4 a&b qualify for Eland Lodge 70cms class
OBHS Class 5 qualifies for Eland Lodge 80cms class
OBHS Class 6 qualifies for Eland Lodge 90cms class.
Q* – Area 12 Mini ODE Championships
OBHS Class 2 qualifies for the Area 12 Mini ODE Champs 50cms class
OBHS Class 3 qualifies for the Area 12 Mini ODE Champs 60cms class
OBHS Class 4° qualifies for the Area 12 Mini ODE Champs 70cms class.
DIRECTIONS & ONE-WAY SYSTEM
DIRECTIONS & ONE-WAY SYSTEM – Stacey Equestrian @ Rosehill is located off the A4130 Maidenhead to Henley-on-Thames Road. Rosehill is on the left, 300 yards after Black Boys Inn. DO NOT TURN LEFT. There will be a sign at this point directing you further on towards Henley, then left and left again. This will be the one-way system into the venue which will be clearly marked. Follow a single track road and the lorry park will be on left. On leaving, turn left out of the lorry park and you will join the A4130
BODY PROTECTORS / AIR VESTS / TACK
BODY PROTECTORS are compulsory. Please note that shoulders must be covered. Medical armbands are advised for competitors who are not accompanied by a responsible adult.
AIR VESTS – if you wear an air vest, it must only be used in addition to a normal body protector and, in the event of a fall, it must be fully deflated or removed before continuing. If using an air vest, an elasticated number bib must be worn, this to be provided by the competitor.
OBJECTIONS – queries or complaints must be via e-mail and sent to the Organiser within 30 minutes of the incident aesandford@yahoo.co.uk If the objection is NOT upheld, the objector agrees to pay a £20 objection fee – as is standard for all Pony Club events.
SAFETY TACK INSPECTION – There will be a tack inspection but competitors (or accompanying adult) are responsible for the safety and compliance to Pony Club rules, of their equipment.
STOP WATCHES – may not be used.
RESULTS
RESULTS – these will be published on the OBH(South) website before midday on Monday, 24th April. https://branches.pcuk.org/oldberkeleysouth/results/ and will be available on the day on the Pony Club Results website https://www.ponyclubresults.co.uk/
Rosettes may be collected at the end of each Class – once the results are finalised. If you want your rosette posted you must put your name and address on an envelope at the Secretary’s tent and leave £1.00 to cover postage.
EVENTER CHALLENGE RULES
- EVENTER CHALLENGE RULES
1. Event to be run under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2023, a copy of which can be seen at

2. Competitors will be eliminated and asked to leave the course for three (3) refusals/disobediences
at any fence OR a total of five (5) refusals/disobediences on the course. The course comprises the Show Jumping and Cross Country phases as one course.
3. Age is taken as at 1st January 2023.
4. No horse/pony under the age of 5 years may compete.
5. No horse/pony may compete more than once in each class.
6. Horse/pony and rider combinations wanting to compete in two classes may do so, but the classes MUST be consecutive heights.
7. No outside assistance is permitted with the exception of Class 1.
8. The decision of the Organiser, Judges and Stewards will be final.
9. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
10. All non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The OBH(S) Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover you.
11. No telephone entries accepted. Entries close at midday on Thursday 20th April 2023. Start times
for all classes will be available on our website http://branches.pcuk.org/oldberkeleysouth/times/ and on Pony Club Results from Friday 21st April after 19.00 hrs. or call 01628 633780 for times
between 19.00 and 21.00 hrs. Late entries, if space available, will incur an additional £5 fee per competitor. No on-the-day entries.
12. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without giving any reason, cancel or alter the times of classes or to withdraw any horse thought to be in an unsound or unsuitable condition.
13. All withdrawals must be made in writing. Entry fees – less a £5 administration fee – will ONLY be refunded on production of a Medical or Veterinary Certificate submitted not later than 20th April 2023. A £5 cancellation fee (to cover costs incurred) will be retained on all refunds if the event should have to be cancelled, for whatever reason.
14. All competitors must be suitably dressed in correct riding attire and a jockey skull cap with no fixed
peak must be worn. The hat must comply with current Pony Club rules and must be worn correctly fastened at all times when mounted. Gaiters or half chaps may be worn. Body protectors are compulsory (please see notes regarding body protectors/air vests). As a minimum, shoulders must be covered while competing.
15. Head Cams may NOT be worn.
16. Jewellery is only allowable in accordance with Pony Club Rules https://pcuk.org/officials/healthand-safety/dress-and-tack/
17. It is advised that you wear a medical armband if you are not accompanied by a responsible person.
18. There will be a brief tack inspection, but please note, Competitors (or the accompanying adult) are responsible for their equipment safety and compliance to Pony Club rules.
19. Dogs must be kept on the lead at all times.
Withdrawals and Refunds
Refund Policy:
All withdrawals must be made in writing. Entry fees – less a £5 administration fee – will ONLY be refunded on production of a Medical or Veterinary Certificate submitted not later than 20th April 2023.
A £5 cancellation fee (to cover costs incurred) will be retained on all refunds if the event should have to be cancelled, for whatever reason.

This event is being organised by OBH ( South ) Pony Club . Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.
As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.
We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.

HEALTH & SAFETY – The Organisers of this event have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the health & safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers, all Officials and Stewards. Any accident on the premises of Stacey Equestrian @ Rosehill, however small, must be reported by e-mail to the organiser: aesandford@yahoo.co.uk. The Organisers may take such action as they feel necessary to protect the health and/or safety of horses and/or riders, or anyone attending the event.
