Keyflow Feeds Barbury International Horse Trials – Non Eventing Classes

 

Barbury International Horse Trials will be held from 7 Jul 2022 – 10 Jul 2022 at Barbury Castle Estate, Rockley, Nr Marlborough, Wiltshire, SN8 1RS.

Barbury International Horse Trials will be extensively sign posted during the event. There will be specific entrances and exits during the event so please adhere to these.

Event Classes

The following classes are available for the Keyflow Feeds Barbury International Horse Trials – Non Eventing Classes

1. Tattersalls RoR OPEN In Hand Show Series Qualifier 2022
Open to all RoR and NR competition registered horses, 3yrs and over, fillies, mares, and geldings.
Blemishes caused through racing will be ignored. Horses do not need to be shod to compete in the RoR Open In-Hand class. Horses can be shown in a Bitless/In Hand Bridle.
2. Tattersalls RoR NOVICE Ridden Show Series Qualifier 2022
Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4years old or over, any height
Riders must be 15 years or over on the 1st of January 2022. Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle with a plain cavasson noseband. Horses should be plaited.
3. Tattersalls RoR AMATEUR Ridden Show Series Qualifier
Open to all RoR and NR competition registered horses, 4yrs and over, mares and geldings, owned, produced, and ridden by an Amateur.
Riders must be 15 years or over on the 1st of January 2022. Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, Pelham, or simple double bridle with a plain cavasson noseband. Horses should be plaited
4. Tattersalls RoR Former Racehorse Challenge Show Series Qualifier 2022
Mare or gelding 4yrs old or over and of any height. Riders must be 15 years or over on the 1st of January 2022.
Horses to be ridden in any suitable bridle and should be plaited. All entries must be registered with RoR and HAVE raced in GB. Racing injuries and blemishes ARE IGNORED in this series The first three go forward to the final at The Jockey Club RoR National Championships, Aintree, 27th August 2022
5. Tattersalls RoR OPEN Ridden Show Series Qualifier
Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4years old or over, any height. Riders must be 15 years or over on the 1st of January 2022.
Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, Pelham, or simple double bridle with a plain cavasson noseband. Horses should be plaited. The first THREE go forward to the championship at Hickstead in June 2023. All entries MUST be registered with the RoR and include their competition registration number on entry form and have RACED in GB. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force’
6: NOVICE WORKING HUNTER
Open to mares, geldings or stallions, 4 years old and over exceeding 148cms (14.2hh).
Not to have won a first prize of £35 or more than a total of £250 (including any Championship prize money) in WORKING hunter classes. Grade A Show-jumpers and Advanced Event horses are not eligible to compete in these classes. Any horse which has qualified as a Grade A Show Jumper or Advanced Event Horse as of 1st January in the current year is not eligible to compete in Working Hunter classes. This class is affiliated to the BSHA and will be judged in accordance with their rules. Open to members and non-members of the BSHA. Fences will not exceed 100cm.
7. WESTOWN STUD HOYS WORKING HUNTER OF THE YEAR
WESTOWN STUD WORKING HUNTER OF THE YEAR For Working Hunters, any weight, mares, geldings, or stallions (competing stallions must have a red, white, and blue ribbon displayed in their tail) four years old or over, exceeding 148cm, to be ridden.
8 INTER-HUNT TEAM RELAY
Open to teams of 4 riders, who are active members of the Hunt they represent. Fences approximately 90cm.
9 80cm Arena Eventing
The dimensions of the fences will be as per a BE80 classes. No horse & rider combination that have competed at BE100 or above may enter this class.
10: 90cm Arena Eventing
The dimensions of the fences will be as per BE90 classes. No horse & rider combination that have competed BE Novice or above may enter this class.
11: 100cm Arena Eventing
The dimensions of the fences will be as per BE100 classes.
THE 2022 DUBARRY BURGHLEY YOUNG EVENT HORSE SERIES for 4yr olds and 5yr olds only.
Horses must exceed 148cm without shoes. Age: Open to horses born in 2017 and 2018.
Approx times 09.00 For 4 year olds & 13.00 For 5 year olds

A levy of £3 per rider/handler per day will be charged to help towards medical cover.

All class entry fees are inclusive of VAT at 20%.

STABLING

STABLING
Stabling is available on-site in temporary stabling and can be booked online at the same time as making your entries. Stables can be booked for the duration only and can be accessed from 16:00 on  Wednesday 6th July to 19:00 on Sunday 10th July 2022

Two bales of Bedmax are included per stable and additional bales can be purchased on site for £8 per bale.

Competitors must bring their own hay/haylage. Electrical hook-up is also available to purchase for the duration of the event and must be booked online before 27.07.22

EQUINE INFLUENZA

Equine Influenza and Tetanus vaccinations are a compulsory requirement. The requirement for the first 3 vaccinations is as follows: the first 2 vaccinations 21 – 92 days apart, a third booster between
150-215 days, and an annual booster vaccination within 365 days thereafter. No horse should enter competitions within 7 days of an EI vaccination. Foals should commence vaccinations at 6 months old.
This Rule may be subject to change from guidance from the FEI/BEF.

PLEASE NOTE: Any FEI Eventing competitors wishing to bring additional horses for the non-eventingclasses, but stable them in the International stable block with their FEI Eventing horses, must vaccinate
them in accordance with FEI regulations. Any horses not vaccinated in accordance with FEI regulations will be stabled in the non-eventing stable block.

Times

TIMES

All competitors will be issued times, or in the case of showing classes, class ‘not before’ times will be published on the Musketeer website. Times will be available by 19:00, two days before the start of the relevant competition. The approximate start times shown in the schedule are likely to change, so please ensure you check the timetable once entries have closed.

NUMBERS

Horses must be identifiable with a number at all times whilst on site (FEI regulations). Back numbers will not be issued to competitors. Bridle and back numbers are to be printed by the competitor prior to the competition. Competitor numbers will be available on the Musketeer website prior to the event.

The prizes listed are subject to change. Unless otherwise stated or dictated by governing bodies, 2nd place prize money will only be paid if there are 5 or more entries and 3rd place prize money will only be paid if there are 10 or more entries. Prize money winners will be required to submit an online claim form via our website so their winnings can be paid via BACS. This may take up to 2 weeks from submitting the form. Any prize money unclaimed by 01/08/22 will be forfeited.

Rider packs and vehicle passes will be sent via email approximately 3 days before the event. The email address used when making the entry will be the email address this information is sent to, so please ensure you use the correct email address when making your entry.

REFUNDS

REFUNDS

Entry will be refundable minus a £10 administration fee. stabling fees refundable minus a £15 administration fee.

 

CANCELLATION

Please see the Musketeer cancellation policy, available on www.musketeer.co.uk. The refund for these classes will be in line with that of Unaffiliated Events. MEM will have no liability for expenses, consequential loss or damage suffered by competitors or their representatives as a result of cancellation.

SUBSTITUTION OF JUDGES

The organiser reserves the right to substitute other judges for those printed in the schedule, should it be necessary. Efforts will be made to alert competitors to substitutions, but there may be circumstances which mean it has to be done without notice.

 

PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS

Competitors are reminded that the decision of the judge is final. If a competitor chooses to lodge a complaint, then this must be made in writing to the Secretary within 1 hour of the alleged incident and pay a deposit of £20. The protest will be considered and investigated by a panel appointed by MEM, whose decision shall be final and from which there shall be no appeal. If the protest is not substantiated, the deposit will be forfeited.

 

HARD HATS

Hard hats which comply with the latest British Standard (All PAS 015; VG1; ASTM F1163 04a onwards; SNELL E2001 AS/NZS 3838 2006 onwards) must be worn & correctly secured by all competitors when mounted. It is strongly recommended that grooms handling horses or entering the ring wear conforming hard hats too. Body Protectors are recommended for all riders but are compulsory in Arena Eventing classes.

 

 

 

DOGS

Dogs are very welcome but must be kept on leads at all times. Please clean up after your dog immediately.

This event is being organised by Musketeer Events . Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.
