Pony Club Classes are open to any currently registered Pony Club member. Entries taken on first come first served basis, with priority given to Grafton members.

All classes are Qualifier for Horse Events Unaffiliated Championships & Schools Equestrian Games Eventing Championships. 

Incorporating amateur only classes, Open Young Horse class.

Substitutions

If you wish to change a class while entries are open please email info@horse-events.co.uk and if there is space available the change will be made for you.

If you wish to edit the horse or rider details before entries close, please log in to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under ‘MY BOOKING’ tab and also please see Special Notes below.

SPECIAL NOTES : WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS

SPECIAL NOTES

Objections must be made in writing within half an hour of the incident together with a £50 deposit. The deposit will be forfeited if the objection is not sustained.

Withdrawals and refunds

Refunds will be given minus a £10 admin fee for any reason before the closing date.

Refunds after the closing date that are NOT replaced from a wait list are non refundable for any reason.

Event Cancellation

If the event is cancelled for any reason, all entries will be refunded minus a £10 cancellation fee.

Please note the booking fees are not refundable.

 

UNAFFILIATED RULES

 

RULES

Horses/Ponies must be 4years of age or older

Riders must be 10 years of age for PN. There is no age limit for Intro

British Eventing Points do not apply to unaffiliated events at Washbrook Farm.

Hard hats must be worn at all times when mounted to specifications detailed in British Eventing rules.

Body Protectors must be worn for the cross country phase

Any horse or pony, which is considered to be unsound, unfit or unhealthy by a Judge or the Organisers will be excluded from further competition without refund of entry fee.

ATV’s and motor bikes are not permitted.

The competition will be mainly run in conjunction with British Eventing rules

All dogs must be kept on leads at all times

Maximum of 2 people to accompany each competitor.

RESERVATION OF RIGHT

The Organisers reserve the right to:

Cancel any class or section or divide any class

Transfer competitors between sections of a class

Alter the advertised times

Refuse any entry

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY PONY CLUB CLASSES

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY PONY CLUB CLASSES 

  1. This competition will be run under British Eventing Rules 2022. There will be an optimum time for all classes in the Show Jumping and Cross Country phases (including PC80). In addition there will be tack checks for the Pony Club Sections, run under PC eventing rules 2022.
  2. A Vet and Farrier will be available all day. It is the responsibility of the individual whose horse is being treated to settle all fees.
  3. Correct riding attire must be worn at all times when mounted and also for dismounted prize giving.
  4. BODY PROTECTORS, which are up to the current Pony Club standard are recommended for Show Jumping and are compulsory for Cross Country. https://pcuk.org/media/hh4h35mb/body- protector-rule-2020.pdf
  5. HATS meeting current Pony Club standards MUST be worn at all times when mounted. All hats must be correctly fitted and tagged. https://pcuk.org/media/3t2nxfnb/hat-rule-2020.pdf
  6. All horses/ponies must be at least 4 years of age.
  7. NO STALLIONS except with permission.
  8. Competitors must present themselves to the steward for tack inspection at least 20 minutes before their dressage time and 15 minutes before their allocated times in the other phases.
  9. Competitors who are eliminated in the Show Jumping phase may go Cross Country at the discretion of the Show Jumping Official.
  10. DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES, INCLUDING THE COURSE WALK
  11. Horse OR Rider substitutions will be accepted at the cost of £12, horse AND rider substitutions will NOT be accepted.
  12. HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY: The Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of every person present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all the officials and stewards.
  13. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY: Except for the negligence of the Organisers and their agents or others for whom in law they are responsible, the Organisers do not accept responsibility in respect of any accident, loss, damage, injury, illness or disease caused to or suffered by any horse, owner, rider, spectator, sponsor, and others present at the site of the Event and their property, vehicles and accoutrements.
    Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
  14. RESERVATION OF RIGHT

Are you Eligible for the Horse Events Unaffiliated Eventing Amateur Championships 2022 at this Height required

Horse Events Unaffiliated Eventing Championship, this championship is aimed for the amateur rider who do not class themselves as a professional rider of course this is hard quantify the following criteria have been put in place to encourage a fair competition for all involved. Obviously this is self policed as we cannot track past results from other unaffiliated events. Honesty is paramount PLEASE BE FAIR TO ALL RIDERS INVOLVED IN THIS COMPETITION

How to qualify

Be placed in the top 5 at an ODE hosting a Horse Events Qualifier (HEQ) and be eligible under the following criteria:

For the 80cm & 90cm No rider to have competed above BE Novice or equivalent in the last three years.

For 100cm No rider to have competed above BE Intermediate or equivalent in the last three years.

Is your horse 4, 5 or 6 and in its first or second season eventing. required

If you have chosen yes and you finish in the top 10 you have qualified for the Open Young Horse Unaffiliated Eventing Championships at Calmsden on the 1st & 2nd October 2022.
