The following classes are available for the Grove Hunt Pony Club Open Show Jumping Event Including The Pony Club Spring Festival Preliminary Round Show Jumping Qualifiers

CLASS 1a 30cm led /assisted
– Entrants can be led, assisted or unassisted (no back poles) Classes 1 and 2 are designed for very young or very novice riders.
Class 1b 30cm unassisted
(no back poles) Classes 1 and 2 are designed for very young or very novice riders.
CLASS 2 40cm
Classes 1 and 2 are designed for very young or very novice riders.
CLASS 3 50cm
CLASS 4 60cm
CLASS 5 70cm
CLASS 6 80cm Including Pony Club Debut Spring Festival Qualifier

Entry lists and times will be posted on www.ponyclubresults.co.uk after 7pm on Thursday 11th November  2021

Classes will be run in drawn / listed order and the course will be available to walk before the start of each class, please be prompt.

The warm-up arena will be limited to a safe number and the practice fences will be adjusted by stewards, no parents or coaches in the warmup area. No lunging on site.

Number Bibs

Competitors must bring their own number bib and must print out three numbers, two for their bib and one for the windscreen of their vehicle.  Numbers are listed and printed out from www.ponyclubresults.co.uk

Results & Rosettes

Results will be displayed on www.ponyclubresults.co.uk  and prizes / rosettes sent out after the event.

Rosettes will be awarded to 6th place.

Dress code

Dress Code

The Pony Club Saddlery and Dress rules apply at all Area Competitions and the Championships.  Aqua tagged hats and BETA 2009 or BETA 2018 body protectors must be worn.  Air jackets if worn, must be worn in combination with a body protector. All competitors must wear jodhpur / riding boots.  Stirrups should be of the correct size to suit the rider’s boots and must have 7mm (¼”) clearance on either side of the boot.

Passports will be checked on the driveway to ensure all horses/ponies have had a vaccine within 12 months of the event. Those not complying will be turned away.  Newly vaccinated horses/ponies need to have had two vaccinations and a further week.  Please have your pony/horse’s passport with you and be ready to show the immunisations schedule.

  1. To be run under Pony Club Show Jumping rules (see PC website pcuk.org).   Combinations are expected to compete at their normal Pony Club level of eligibility, not below.
  2. Open to current Pony Club Branch, Centre members & non-members. All Horses must be aged 5 or older.
  3. All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Woodland Hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their insurance will not cover you.
  4. Combination of horse and rider cannot enter more than 2 classes. No horse can compete more than once per class, or twice in total.
  5. Classes will be run in drawn order and the course will be available to walk before the start of each class. Approx. Class times will be available on the website prior to the competition. Any competitor who misses their turn may be disqualified at the judges’ discretion.
  6. Class 6: Pony Club Debut 80cm, no age restriction. Combination of horse/pony and rider are NOT eligible if they have; -represented their Branch/Centre at PC100 or    above at summer area qualifiers  PC SJ champs. or if they have ever been placed 1st – 3rd individually in the PC 90 (Novice) or above Pony Club Show Jumping Championship Rider is NOT eligible if they have; Previously competed at the Winter Series Open Grand Prix   Championships or Hickstead PC Show Jumping Final.
  1. Class 7: Pony Club Challenge – 90cms. No Age restriction but excludes Pony Club

  3. All competitors must wear a protective helmet, manufactured to one of the minimum standards listed in the Pony Club Hat Rule 2020 at all times when mounted with the chin straps fastened. All hats must be tagged with an Aqua Pony Club, Riding Club or BE hat tag. This can be done on the day at the event secretary, please allow enough time for this.
  4. The decision of the judge is final.
  5. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify anyone for misuse of whip or spurs, dangerous riding or any horse in poor or lame condition.
  6. Horses/Ponies must not be left unattended. Please do not leave horses/ponies tied to the outside of lorries.
  7. Please pick up droppings in parking areas. No hay nets to be tied to outside of lorries or trailers.
  8. Only the competitor may ride the horse on the day at the event.

This event is being organised by Grove Hunt Pony Club. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.

Venue Information

The Indoor Arena measures 45m x 30m and has a new silica sand and Vasatrack vaseline coated rubber surface. There is a  full set of “Jump for Joy” Jumps.

There is a seated viewing gallery overlooking the Arena and a viewing area within the cafe. The Arena is available to hire by the day or per hour irrespective of how many people use the Arena.

The Outdoor Arena measures 55m x 30m and is a sand and rubber mix surface.
