Foxhill Farm is located ½ mile south of Moreton Pinkney on Thorpe Mandeville Rd. Please follow signs & approach from this direction, not via Eydon or Cannons Ashby. A one-way system will be in operation to ensure traffic flow.
Event Classes
The following classes are available for the Grafton Pony Club ODE
Show Jumps & Cross Country approx. 45cm-55 cm.
Dressage test may be read but will incur 5 penalties.SJ & XC course built in an enclosed field & friendly, inviting design to welcome beginners. XC will not be timed.
Show Jumps & Cross Country approx. 60cm-70cm.
Dressage test may be read but will incur 5 penalties.
SJ & XC course will be built in an enclosed field & designed to be a friendly, inviting & welcoming introduction. XC will not be timed
Show Jumps & Cross Country approx. 75cm

Times available on Thursday 1st June from 6pm at www.horse-event.co.uk
The course may be walked from 2pm on the day before the competition. NB please note that Classes 1 & 2 will not be available to walk once the cross country phase of the first class has commenced.
Competitors asked to provide their own number bibs for classes 3-5

Event Booking Information
This event is being organised by Grafton Hunt Pony Club. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.
As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.
Venue Information
Foxhill Farm is located in the unspoilt countryside of South Northants midway between Banbury, Brackley and Towcester. Owned and run by Lesley Smith, this family business offers the perfect environment for you to ride to your full potential.
Set in beautiful countryside, livery owners have the opportunity to hack down endless bridleways, byways and quiet country lanes, as well as having the perfect setting to prepare for competitions throughout the year.
Instruction on your own horse can be provided by Lesley Smith; a qualified and highly experienced instructor. Group and individual lessons are available in all disciplines for every age and ability.
Foxhill offers a wide variety of equestrian facilities and services, including:
- 70m x 40m all weather menage
- Full set of competition showjumps
- XC schooling course designed and built by Hugh Lochore
- Regular training days, clinics and competitions
- A purpose built American barn housing stabling for 23
- Over 120 acres of turnout
- Claydon Horse Walker
- Holiday/short term and schooling livery.
The cross country course is open for schooling throughout the year. The location of the course is on well draining permanent pasture and will only be closed in very severe weather.
The course was built and designed by Hugh Lochore, one of the UK’s leading course designers. It includes a wide variety of fences from 2ft to 3ft 6ins. The design incorporates many of the types of fences often used in British Eventing courses. These include corners, arrow heads, sunken road, bank complex, training ditches, trakehner, and a water complex with a wide variety of options to both enter and exit the water.
The permanent fences have all weather take off and landings.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. This event will be run in accordance with the Pony Club Eventing Rules 2017, modified where applicable. All competitors must wear fastened hard hats complying with this Rule Book when mounted. Riding at anytime without a hat will result in elimination. Body protectors to correct standards and Medical Armbands must be worn during the Cross Country phase. Hats must be tagged before the first phase of the competition by all Pony Club Members and no timing devices permitted.
2. Horse/pony may only compete once.
3. The Committee reserves the right to refuse an entry without giving a reason & to alter the programme if weather or other conditions require. In the event of cancellation, entry fees less £10.00 per person will be refunded on receipt of SAE by 30th June 2017.
4. Correct riding attire must be worn at all times when mounted and for dismounted prize giving.
5. No practice over any part of the Course is allowed at any time.
6. Only competing and stewards’ horses allowed at the event.
7. Competitors who, for transport and other reasons, would like to have times near one another please state this clearly on the entry form.
8. Age as on 1st January 2017.
9. The Organisers reserve the right to section classes according to age and date of birth.
10. Photographer: By entry to this competition, competitors agree to being photographed by the official photographer.
11. THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL.
12. Entry fees are non refundable unless withdrawn before the closing date. A vet or doctor’s certificate must accompany withdrawals.
13. All competitors will be expected to ride at their allotted times. Failure to do so may incur elimination.
14. Non PC members must be covered by their own insurance.
15. Veterinary cover will be provided on the day, all fees to be met by the individual.

Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Grafton Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their insurance will not cover you.
