Event Classes

The following classes are available for the GRAFTON HUNT BRANCH SUMMER SHOW

Class 1 – Ridden Best Turned Out
(Riders may be led)
Class 2 – Ridden - Lead rein
Riders to be age 8 and under. Pony not to exceed 12.2hh. Lead rein to be attached to the noseband.
Class 3 – First ridden
Riders to be age 10 and under. Pony not to exceed 13hh. To be ridden in a snaffle. There will be no cantering as a group.
Class 4 – Family Pony/Horse
Class to be split between 14.2hh and under and over 14.2hh
Class 5 – Mountain and Moorland
To be split between small and large breeds
Class 6 – Veteran (Riders may be lead)
Horse/Pony to be 15 years and over
Class 7 – Pony Club Pony Child 30cm
not to exceed 8 years old and fence up to 30cm (split lead rein and non-lead rein)
Class 8 – Pony Club Pony 50cm
Child not to exceed 12 years old and fence up to 50cm
Class 9 – Pony Club Pony 65cm
Over 12 years and fence up to 65cm

Rosettes for all entries in the Handy Pony.

The course will be timed at rosettes from 1st – 6th in each section. This class will be run by and profits donated to Shacks Barn and Buckingham Riding for the Disabled Group.

Rosette’s 1st – 6th




  1. The decision of the judges is final.
  2. If you would like to edit your horse or rider details before the closing date of the event please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘MY BOOKING’ Tab

  4. For ALLchanges of horse and rider substitutions after the closing date there is a £5 charge please fill out the following form online at:
  5. All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis. Late entries will only be taken subject to space and correct cash or proof of bank transfer entries on the day
  6. Organisers reserve the right to divide, amalgamate and cancel classes according to number of entries. Organisers may also close entries when classes are full. Entry fees will be refunded if classes are cancelled or if the show is cancelled. Booking fees are non- refundable.
  7. Entry fees are not refundable after the closing date unless request is accompanied by a doctor’s or vet’s certificate.
  8. Competitors entering classes which may clash do so at their own risk although every effort will be made to minimise the risk of clashing
  9. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry made by any person if they deem it right to do so, without giving any reason
  10. Hats must comply with current Pony Club 2022 rules. All hats must have aquamarine Pony Club Tag (tagged by their own branch) or BE/BRC hat tag before the event. They must be worn with the chin strap correctly fastened at all times when mounted. For a full list of approved hat standards, please go to
  11. A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany the horse / pony. Spot checks will be in place, and it must be produced on request at any other time during the event
  12. No horse / pony may compete (or be present at the event as a companion) unless it has a Record of Vaccination against equine influenza completed by the veterinary surgeon who gave the vaccination, signed and stamped line by line, which complies with the Minimum Vaccination Requirements set out in the Equine Influenza Vaccination Schedule in the Pony Club Vaccination Rules 2022
  13. Age of rider and horse/pony as of the date of the show.
  14. All cups and trophies are to be signed for and returned to the Show secretary in good order for the following year
  15. Dogs to be kept on lead at all times please.
  16. Jumping classes will be run under Pony Club rules 2022
  17. No stallion nor any horse or pony under 4 years allowed on the showground

Refund before Withdrawal date in Full minus the booking fee NO refunds after the close of entries

In the event of the event cancelling entries will be refunded minus an admin fee per entry of £5

This event is being organised by GRAFTON HUNT BRANCH. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
