Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Refund minus an admin fee of £3.50 up until Withdrawal date, withdrawals thereafter cannot be refunded unless production of a vet or doctor’s certificate within 7 days of the competition.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded per class minus an admin fee of £5.00 (Booking fees are non refundable)

All classes will be run as single phase, teams of 3 or 4 riders, with the top 3 scores to count ENTRIES TO BE MADE ONLINE AT www.horse-events.co.uk

Qualifications for Mini Championships - Pony Club Members ONLY

The top two highest placed Pony Club teams (if 5 or more teams entered), or highest placed team (if less than 5 teams entered), and top 3 highest placed individual Pony Club members at each competition of the following levels: 40cm Lead Rein, 40cm Assisted, 40cm Open, 50cm and 60cm will qualify for the Mini Championships which will be held in August 2025.

Each team at the Championships must include at least two of the original four horse/rider combinations.

Any combination of horse/rider may not compete where the height is 20cm lower than that at which they have previously competed. This is meant as a friendly, fairly low key, championships, ‘a learning experience’ so that competitors will feel confident at moving up to Regionals. Riders who have competed at the Regional Show Jumping or Eventing competitions are not eligible for the Mini Championships.

No whips are permitted in the 40cm Lead Rein class.

Terms and Conditions

If you would like to edit your horse or rider details before the closing date of the event please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘MY BOOKING’ tab.

If you would like to change the class please email info@horse-events.co.uk and if there is space available we will do this for you.

For ALL changes for horse and rider substitutions after the closing date there is a £5 charge, a substitution form must be completed on horse events.

Entries are accepted and admission granted only subject to the following conditions, which are deemed to have been accepted by each competitor.

1. Neither the Eggesford Branch of the PC nor The Grange Equestrian Centre nor any judge or any steward, officer or servant shall be liable for anything that may happen from any cause or circumstances whosoever to any person, animal, article or property.

2. It is a condition of entry that each competitor shall indemnify the above mentioned against such matters aforesaid.

3. A copy of the Pony Club Show Jumping 2024 Rules will be with the secretary.

4. The judge’s decision is final. Any objection must be made to the secretary with a deposit of £10 not later than 20 minutes after the incident.

5. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry without stating a reason for doing so and also reserve the right to eliminate any competitor who in their opinion places her/himself or others in danger or fails to observe rules.

6. All entries to be made online only. Telephone entries will not be accepted.

7. Horses or ponies must be 4 years or over on the day of the show and No Horses or ponies may be ridden other than by the competitor on the day of the competition.

8. The organisers have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid or prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and officials and stewards.

9. All dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times.

10. All droppings to be picked up and taken home.

11. No horses/ponies are to be left unattended when tied to the lorry/trailer.

12. In the event of cancellation notification will be posted on the Eggesford PC Facebook page.

Monies will be refunded less £5 per entry administration fee.

13. Ages as at date of competition

14. Times will be issued for each competitor and must be strictly adhered to.

15. This competition will be run under Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2024. The judge’s decision will be final.

16. Classes will be run as SINGLE PHASE, the second half will be timed. All competitors may jump the second half unless they have been eliminated.

17. No horse/pony can be ridden in more than two classes. 

18. Horses and ponies must be over 4 years on the day of the competition.

19. Competitors must present themselves for tack inspection a minimum of 15 minutes before they jump.

20. Correct protective hats must be worn comply with the 2024 Pony Club rules which can be found at https://branches.pcuk.org/seskinore/pony-club-hat-body-protector-whips-stirrup-rules/. Hats must be clearly tagged with the pink tag. Failure to comply will result in elimination. The wearing of body protectors is recommended. The Pony Club Saddlery and Dress rules will be strictly enforced.

21. The warm up arena will be stewarded – the number permitted in the warm up will follow current PC Guidance on the day of competition

22. The jumps in the warm up arena must not exceed the height of the jumps in the ring.

23. Withdrawals by 19th November will receive a refund minus £3.50 admin fee, withdrawals thereafter cannot be refunded unless production of a vet or doctor’s certificate within 7 days of the competition.

24. In the event that the competition has to be cancelled all entries will be refunded minus a £5 Admin Fee
