****New 70cm classes for 2022*****

 

Classes 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be qualifiers for the Eland Lodge Hunter Trial Championships.

 

No ditches or water anywhere on course. Steps up and down for 90cm class only.

Lovely free draining, sandy soil across traditional park land. The course is not available for hire at any time.

Event Classes

The following classes are available for the CAMBRIDGESHIRE HUNT SUPPORTERS’ CLUB SPRING HUNTER TRIAL

Class 1: 70CM “HAVE A GO”
9am start (numbers will be strictly limited)
Competitors may go around solo or in pairs. Pairs do not need to jump side by side. Please use the “special requests” section to indicate going as a pair. £10 per competitor Rosettes to all clear rounds
Class 2: 70CM NOVICE Class to be split juniors and seniors.
Class 3: 80CM PAIRS
Pairs do not need to jump side by side, there will be no dressing fences.
Class 4: 80CM INTERMEDIATE
Class to be split juniors and seniors.
– not before 12:30pm
Class 5: 90CM OPEN - Juniors and seniors will run together.

Class 1: £10

Class 3 Pairs £30

Classes 2, 4 & 5 £18

Entry fees are inclusive of First Aid, but all entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis.

 

 

ENTRIES CLOSE WEDNESDAY 6TH APRIL

Entries will close at 23:59 Wednesday 6th April. Entries after closing may be accepted if there is space in the class, but will be subject to a £5 surcharge. Please contact the Event Secretary for details.

Entries on the day will only be taken from competitors that have pre-entered for another class, space permitting, and subject to a £5 surcharge.

Waitlists will be held in the event of classes filling before the closing date.

Ages will be taken as on the date of the event. Juniors 16 years and under, Seniors 17 years and over.

 

Edit Your booking:

If you would like to edit you horse and/or rider details before the closing date of the event, please login to your Horse-Events account and edit your booking under the “MY BOOKING” tab.

If you would like to change the class please email info@horse-events.co.uk and if there is space available, we will do this for you.

TIMES and NUMBERS

Times will be published on www.horse-events.co.uk and CHSC Spring Hunter Trial on Friday 8th April after 7pm

Competitors will need to print their OWN A4 number; bibs will NOT be provided.

Hand written numbers will NOT be allowed; Bibnets or similar are permitted.

Any competitor not able to print their own number or supply their own bib MUST contact the Event Secretary prior to the day of the event.

COURSE WALKING

COURSE WALKING

The courses will be available for walking on Saturday 9th April 1:30-4:30pm.

Dogs on leads are welcome. All mess MUST be picked up and disposed of responsibly.

The courses may be walked on the day with caution. Dogs will not be allowed on the courses on the day under any circumstances.

Optimum times will operate across the whole course for classes 2, 3, 4 and 5. Times and speeds will be displayed from Saturday 9th April.

Course maps will be displayed from Saturday 9th April.

Rosettes and Prizes

Class 1: Rosettes to all clear rounds

Class 2: Rosettes to 10th place

Class 3: JJ Equestrian Challenge Trophies will be awarded to the winning pair. Rosettes to 10th place

Class 4:

A Silver Horse Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the winning junior

The CHSC Challenge Shield will be awarded to the highest placed CHPC member

The Twilight Equine Shield will be awarded to the winning senior

The Harbins Challenge Cup will be awarded to the highest placed CH with EC Subscriber

Rosettes to 10th for juniors and seniors

Class 5:

Highest placed junior – The D K Pearce Challenge Scroll

Highest placed senior – The Gilbert Rice Van & Truck Centre Challenge Trophy

DRESS CODE

DRESS CODE

Cross country colours permitted. Long sleeves are recommended, as a minimum shoulders must be covered.

Long hair must be secured so that it does not obscure the bib number.

Withdrawals & Substitutions

WITHDRAWALS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATION

Withdrawals must be made by Wednesday 6th April (closing date) at midnight.  Withdrawals made before closing will receive a full refund less booking fee.

Withdrawals made after closing will only receive a refund if their space is filled from the waiting list.

Cancellation: In the unlikely event of cancellation/abandonment a full refund minus £0.40 admin fee will be issued.

Booking fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

General Rules

GENERAL RULES

All competitors MUST wear correct riding attire at all times when mounted anywhere on the showground.

Correctly fitting protective headwear to current safety standards, no fixed peaks, must be worn.

Beta level 3 body protectors with either Purple 2009 or Blue 2018 labels are compulsory. Air jackets may be worn but must be worn over the top of the correct standard body protector.

Hat and/or body cams are not permitted under any circumstances.

Outside assistance, including personal timing equipment, is prohibited in all classes.

Competitors will be responsible for the control of their animals at all times and will be liable for any veterinary/farriery expenses incurred on the day. Please do not leave horses tied to vehicles unattended.

Any competitor found to be entering a class significantly lower than they have been actively competing at in the previous season may be asked to go H.C or move to a different class.

Dogs are welcome on short leads. All mess to be picked up and disposed of responsibly. Dogs will not be allowed on the courses on the day of competition.

All trophies awarded and signed for must be returned on request prior to the following year’s event. A minimum of one month’s notice will be provided.

Further competition rules and/or penalties will be displayed on the day and are available upon request. Please familiarise yourself with them.

OBJECTIONS

Objections must be made to the Event Secretary within 30minutes of the incident taking place, accompanied by a deposit of £10, which may be forfeited if the objection is overruled. The decision of the Event Secretary is final in all respects.

EQUINE FLU VACCINATION POLICY

All horses attending the event must be up to date with vaccinations on a minimum 12 monthly booster schedule.

Spot checks may be made, failure to comply may result in forfeit of all entry fees and being asked to leave the showground immediately.

It is a legal requirement for a horse to be accompanied by its passport.

Event Booking Information

This event is being organised by CHSC . Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.
