About this Event

Bloxham Eventer Challenge Series for those at School only 

An exciting competition of continuous sj and xc fences on all weather arenas classes open to teams and individuals.

In full cross-country gear take to the arena to jump a continual mixed jump course of show jumps and real cross-country fences including water, banks, drops and ditches (relevant to the competition level), whilst the final fence will be back to show jumping over a joker fence to finish. The SJ phase and XC phases will be timed independently. Riders over the show jumping time will be given 5 penalties. The XC phase will be judged on closest to the optimum time.

Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawal Date: 07/12/2024


No alterations to be made after the closing date refunds minus £10 admin fee for withdrawals made 7 days prior to the event. No refunds within 7 days of the events. (Booking fees are non refundable) 

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded per class minus an admin fee of £10.00 (Booking fees are non refundable)

Entries are to be made online at www.horse-events.co.uk

All entries will be taken on a first come first served basis and will close when full or on the Wednesday before the event.

Entries must be made in advance, no entries on the day. No email or telephone entries will be accepted.

The competition will start no later than 9am with 20-minute course walks between classes.Heights: 65cm, 80cm, 90cm, 100cm, 110 cm

Entry Fee: £43 per class entry, all entries subject to a non-refundable booking fee as stated online

Entries will be limited so that all height classes will run in daylight.

If you wish to change the class for which you have entered, change horse or rider details or cancel your booking please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘EDIT ENTRY’ tab.

Entry Conditions

• Any horse or pony can only be competed once in any class and can only be ridden by one rider. If a second  rider rides the same pony they will be judged HC.

• Horse/pony/rider combinations may only compete in two consecutive classes per day.

• A combination may not compete in a class more than  30cm lower than the maximum height at which they  have previously competed.

• Whip may only be used twice at any occasion, in line  with BE rules, and should not be used in anger or  frustration.

• Competitors and parents will always respect judges and Competitors must be 7 years or over.

• If a judge deems a competitor to be a danger to themselves or their horse/pony’s welfare they reserve the  right to insist that the combination retires.

• Please print three copies of your number(s) – Two for each rider’s number bib and one to be displayed in your lorry windscreen for identification.

• No stopwatches.

Prizes & Prize Giving

Team rosettes to 3rd place, all 4 team members to receive rosettes. Individual rosettes to 10th place. Individual prizes to 3rd place. Team prizes at championships.

Rules

Horses/Ponies must be 4 years of age or older. British Eventing points do not apply to this competition. Hard hats fastened at the chin must be worn at all times when mounted to specifications detailed in British Eventing rules. Body protectors must be worn. Any horse or pony, which is considered to be unsound, unfit or unhealthy by a Judge or the Organisers will be excluded from further competition without refund of entry fee. There is no start fee payable on the day.

Objections must be made in writing within half an hour of the incident together with a £50 deposit. The deposit will  be forfeited if the objection is not sustained.

Eligibilty

• Individual qualifiers to be horse/rider combinations from the series.

• Qualifying team members should be horse/rider combinations from the team series at that height. Unavailable or incapacitated team members may be substituted only if the horse/rider combination has competed in the series this season without elimination and at no more than one class height above the team entry. A maximum of two eligible team members may be substituted per team.

• Top three team members’ scores to contribute to team place in league table. Team points will be awarded on a sliding scale of 3 points for 1st place to 1 point for 3rd place for each class at each competition. Individual points will be awarded on a sliding scale of 10 points for 1st place to 1 point for 10th place for each class at each competition. The top 10 teams and top 30 riders in each Class (most points throughout season) will go through to the Championship. An updated league table can be found at www.bloxhamschool.com

• The competition on championships day will follow the normal format for all qualifying teams and individuals entered with one set of Championship rosettes being awarded for both teams and individuals. The points won on the day will be added to the cumulative points to determine the final placings. In the event of a tie the higher place will go to the individual/team who is closest to the optimum time

HEALTH AND SAFETY

The Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of every person present.   For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organiser and all Officials and Stewards.

Paramedics in attendance.  Any Rider who falls off, whether in a collecting ring or in competition, must be checked by Paramedics before they remount.

Government Guidelines must be always adhered to.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

Except for the negligence of the Organisers and their agents or other for whom in law they are responsible, the Organisers do not accept responsibility in respect of any accident, loss, damage, injury, illness or disease caused to or suffered by any horse, owner, rider, spectator, sponsor and others present on the site of the Event and their property vehicles and accoutrements.

SPECIAL NOTES

In the very unlikely event of abandonment, entries will be transferred to the next Event Challenge date.

Objections must be made in writing within 30 minutes of the incident together with a £50.00 deposit.  The deposit will be forfeited if the objection is not sustained.

RESERVATION OF RIGHT

The Organisers reserve the right to cancel any class or section or divide any class, to transfer competitors between sections of a class, after the advertised times, and to refuse any entry.
