The following classes are available for the Belvoir Team Chase and Hunter Trial
Minimum age limit 10 years old (time of second horse to count).
Riders must be aged 14 years as of the date of competition, or if under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a person aged 18 or over. Minimum age limit 10 years old.
Course details : 1 ½ miles & approximately 24 fences, There will be a Bogey Time based on the speed of a Novice hunter not yet fully fit, the rider nearest to the Bogey Time will win.

Course details : 1 ¾ miles & 29 fences. Approximate height 3’6’’ to 3’9” (Course is up to height). Fastest time wins.

Class 2 Hunter Trial Solo ENTRY FEE: £ 26 Late entry fee £30
Class 3. Team Chase FUN CLASS ENTRY FEE: £90 per Team Late entry fee £100
Class 4. Team Chase INTERMEDIATE CLASS ENTRY FEE: £120 per Team* Late entry fee £130
Class 5. Team Chase NOVICE CLASS ENTRY FEE: £112 per Team* Late entry fee £122
*Includes M.F.H.A Levy

The organisers reserve the right to ballot out entries if the entries per class are oversubscribed.
All entries are subject to £1.25 (classes 1, 2&3) or £1.50 (classes 4&5)
Entries close 10 am Monday 4th September.
No refunds after close of entries unless replaced from “Wait List” . Where a 100% refund less £5 will be given.
IN CASE OF CANCELLATION IN UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, the organisers reserve the right to retain 25% of entry fee.

Veterinary surgeons, Farrier and a Horse Ambulance will be on site during the competition. Competitors will be required to pay for any services received.

Class 5- Prises 1st £116, 2nd £84, 3rd £64, 4th £44. Rosettes to 6th place.

Belvoir Hunter Trial Rules — read carefully
All competitors must wear crash helmets to current recognised British Safety Standards. All competitors must also wear a body protector to current approved British Safety Standards.
If an Air Jacket is worn it must be worn over a body protector, not on its own.
All those mounted at an event (including grooms and helpers) must wear a hard hat to current recognised British Safety Standard when mounted.
No horse or pony may compete more than once in any class or twice during the day.
It is permissible for a horse or pony to complete in a Hunter Trial class and also a Team Chase class, or in the Hunter Trial Pairs class and the Solo Hunter Trial class.
PENALTIES Refusals — There is no penalty for a refusal other than it will increase the time taken to complete the course, however, the number of refusals shall not exceed three at any one fence, or a total of five on the course ( per horse), when upon the
competitor/s shall be eliminated and must leave the course at once at a walk .
There will be a Bogey time in all classes, the rider nearest to the Bogey time will win. This is not a speed class!
In the event of a tie, the number of refusals shall be taken into consideration, the least number of refusals will win.
Fall of horse or pony = Elimination. Error of course not rectified = Elimination.
The error must be corrected before the next fence is jumped, otherwise = Elimination
Trapped horse – Elimination
What is a horse fall ? A horse fall is when :
At the same time its shoulder and hind quarters have touched either the ground or the obstacle and the ground, or when it is trapped in a fence in such a way that it is unable to proceed without assistance or is liable to injure itself.
Competitors unseated by a stumble or refusal may remount and continue, if fit to do so.
A rider having 2 falls is eliminated. All riders having fallen should be checked by the doctor before riding again.
Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Organisers for which they are legally responsible, neither the Organisers of any event to which these Rules apply, nor any representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, vehicles, contents or accessories or any other person whatever, whether caused by their negligence or in any other way.It is a requirement that all participants carry Third Party insurance for not less than £5m. It is also strongly recommended that all participants have Personal Accident Insurance. Third Party Insurance is covered by membership of the Countryside Alliance.
*Hat tags are required for the Novice & Intermediate classes, current BE and Pony Club tags are accepted, untagged hats must be tagged when collecting numbers – British All PAS15, BSEN1384 or European EN1384 provided they are BSI Kite marked or SEI. American All SEI ASTM 95, ASTM F1163:2004, SNELL E2001.
