Event Classes

The following classes are available for the Arena Eventing at Fairfax & Favor Rockingham International Horse Trials

Class 1: Arena Eventing (0.90m)
Show jumps and cross country fences to be a maximum of 90 cms and final fence to be a SJ Joker of 0.95m max
Class 2: Arena Eventing (1.00m)
Show jumps and cross country fences to be a maximum of 100 cms and final fence to be SJ Joker of 1.05m max.

Prize Giving: Prize Giving’s will be presented on the prize giving podium next to the Secretary’s tent approximately 30 minutes following the end of the class. Competitors placed 1st

– 5th are invited to attend the prize giving. All other placings can be collected from the Secretary’s tent.

Stabling:

Onsite stabling is available; full details of prices can be found at www.rockinghamcastlehorsetrials.com along with a Stable Booking Form. All queries regarding stabling should be directed to Jane Rudd by email at horsetrials@rockinghamcastle.com

Withdrawal:

Withdrawal: By email ONLY to tissiereason@gmail.com by 12.00hrs on 26th April  2022.

All withdrawals before this date will be issued with a full refund, minus a £5 admin fee per entry.

Withdrawals after 12.01hrs on 26th April  2022 are non-refundable.

If for any reason the event is cancelled full refunds less £5 admin fee and minus booking fee

Estate Rules:

  • Rockingham Castle Estate is a heritage site, please respect
  • All dogs must be kept of leads and under Please bag and bin waste.
  • No horses/ponies may be left outside lorries/trailers
  • No hay nets may be tied to the outside lorries/trailers.
  • All droppings must be removed from the lorry park before
  • When mounted, all competitors must use the designated Horse Walks; failure to do so may result in

Health & Safety:

Full Health and Safety information can be found in the back pages of the event programme. For any queries whilst on site please visit the Secretary’s Tent where the Health and Safety Steward will be able to help.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. Classes are Unaffiliated and are open to everyone, BE members and non-members alike.

2. Riders must be 10 years of age or older on the date of the competition to compete. Unless Organiser’s permission to compete has been obtained.

3. Horses/Ponies must be 4 years of age or older but any height may compete.

4. Horse/Ponies must have full and up to date vaccinations in line with the 2022 BE Rules, please see event website for full details. Passports spot checks will take place during the competition. Failure to present passport or horses/ponies with out of date vaccinations will be asked to leave the event, any others they have travelled with will not be able to compete.

5. British Eventing points will not apply.

6. Riders must wear hard hats at all times when mounted and compete, wearing full cross-country kit including back protectors. Hats and back protectors must comply with 2022 BE rules.

7. Horse or Rider substitutions will be accepted at a cost of £12 but horse and rider substitutions will NOT be accepted. Substitutions to be emailed ONLY to tissiereason@gmail.com by 12.00hrs on 16 May 2022.

8. Riders will jump one continual round, the first phase will start with show jumps and immediately be followed by phase two made up of cross country fences and a final fence being a show jump Joker fence. The xc phase will be based on an optimum time of 375m/min.

3 Refusals at same SJ Elimination

Refusal at XC 20 Faults
2nd Refusal at same XC 40 Faults

1st Rider Fall (Any Phase) 20 Faults (Time Stops – you may continue) 2nd Rider Fall (Any Phase) Elimination

Knock down of SJ Joker 8 Faults
Refusal at SJ Joker 20 Faults

The Winner will be the rider with the lowest score, which has been accumulated over the two phases and SJ Joker and closest to the optimum xc time.

9. No Rider may not ride more than two horses per class.

10. The Judge’s Decision is final. Any appeals must be made to the secretary within 15 minutes of the class finishing or within half an hour of the happening and must be accompanied by a £25 deposit which is refundable if the appeal is granted. The Judge reserves the right to disqualify any rider at any stage of the competition for dangerous riding, inappropriate behaviour, misuse of whip or spurs or if, in the vets opinion the horse is unfit to compete.

11. The Organisers of the Rockingham International Horse Trials reserve the right to make any changes and/or amendments to the competition or rules. The Organiser also reserves the right to refuse entries.

15. Riders must comply with any Covid-19 Government Guidelines at all times.
