Please note all entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee of £1.45 per class

Class Information

 

All b classes are novice classes set at the height of the class below

Competitors can also drop down a height from the class (including a novice class) and take 200 penalties – dropdown height in brackets

There will ‘L’ options solid fences (including trakener and ditch) to help riders complete the course Jumps will be a mixture of solid fences and working hunter jumps. No solid fences below 70cms. Course will be timed for junior, intermediate/open classes only (not novice classes)

Run under Pony Club 2022 Arena tetrathlon rules and will include a slip rail and a gate

No Refunds after the withdrawal date for whatever reason. Before this date full refunds to be given.

Rosettes

Rosettes to 6th place in all classes.
Rosette to Best Shoot, Swim, Run and 1400 Ride in all classes.

The Arena tetrathlon competition will be run in accordance with The Pony Club Rules for Tetrathlon 2022

Shooting

• All competitors are required to have a minimum of 3 practice shooting sessions before their first competition, Loaders should be 18 yrs or over and competent. Younger competitors may load their guns with permissionn of the range steward and provided that there is a responsible adult with them behind the firing point
• In the shooting range, guns must be kept in their cases and be flagged until the Firing Point Steward gives the order to “unbox” and unflag them at the start of a Detail. They must be flagged and boxed again before competitors leave the firing point. At all other times air pistols must be stored in their boxes and locked in a secure place (i.e. in a vehicle out of sight).
• No person aged under 18 may be responsible for, or carry, a gun. An adult must be 21 or over to carry a gun for another competitor
• NO GUNS TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED AT ANY TIME

Swimming
• Competitors will only start from the side of the pool if Competitive Start Award box is ticked
• Only one person/coach allowed at end of pool
• Please indicate if a competitor needs to swim in an outside lane.
• Where competitors are unable to swim without aids, they will swim in the shallow end and complete widths

Running
• The run phase will be a time trial on a track with competitors being set off in groups of a maximum of 10. MAY CHANGE FOR COVID REGULATIONS

Riding

• Body protectors (complying with current standards) are compulsory for this competition.
• Crash hats/Skull caps must be worn at all times when mounted and must bear the CE mark and a
quality symbol, either BS kitemark, the SAI Global symbol or the official Snell label. The CE number
on its own is not sufficient PASO15:1998 and Snell E2001 are recommended. Hats must all carry a
Pony Club, British Eventing or British Riding Club AQUAMARINE tag.
• Earrings, studs, other body jewelry and nail varnish must not be worn.
• Competitors will not be forced to retire after 3 refusals at any one fence, and may continue but
must retire after 2 falls as per Tetrathlon rules.
•Horses must be 5 yrs old or over and may not be ridden by more than one competitor over the
same course unless the riders are siblings. Please state on entry form if sharing a horse/pony.

These conditions are subject to change with any
developing guidelines and as such we reserve the right to amend the rules listed below.

1. Please ensure you are familiar with the latest rules prior to coming to the event.

2. Anyone vulnerable or displaying any Covid 19 symptoms MUST NOT attend. By attending, you are declaring
that neither applies.

3. The event site is a regulated area and everyone on site must comply with the rules and signage. Please
follow all directional markings and instructions from our stewards/volunteers/Leisure Centre staff. We
reserve the right to cancel or alter any phase if circumstances dictate

4. Everyone on site must adhere to Welsh Government guidance on social distancing at the time and any
additional rules enforced by us for this event. You must obey the instructions of our stewards without
hesitation. Non-compliance will be reported to your DC and may result in you being asked to leave the event,
forfeiting your entry.

5. Please adhere strictly to the times given. If you miss your time, we are unlikely to be able to fit you in late(but will try)

6. Hand sanitising points available please use them regularly

We, Area 18 Tetrathlon Committee, would like to assume every competitor entering our competition
has done so with the prospect of enjoyment and the possibility of improving personal and/or team goals. We warmly welcome those new to tetrathlon competition and hope to encourage and enthuse their further participation in this great event. For parents/carers supporting the competitors, we ask you also to try and enjoy the day and help your children identify the many positive aspects of their participation.

Event Booking Information

This event is being organised by Area 18 Tetrathlon. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
