Area 14 B test CARE programme via Zoom

Every Tuesday in February – 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd at 7pm 

Come and join your fellow PC friends in the comfort of your home to prepare for your B test or just to improve your knowledge. These online sessions are designed to support your practical learning and enhance your understanding in a friendly environment with full coverage of the B test Syllabus – focusing on the theory behind the practical with use of video’s and demonstrations as well as specialist speakers.

I am a BHS registered Stage 4 coach & Stage 5 Stable manager and have over 30 years’ experience preparing (and assessing) groups and individuals of all levels for their riding and stable management assessments within the Pony Club, at college and also for BHS exams.

All entries are subject to a non refundable booking fee of £1.85

 

Event Details

These online lessons will take place weekly on a Tuesday evening at 7pm for 1 – 1 1⁄2 hours. The aim will be to start the 1st week of February and finish at the end of May.

To allow maximum engagement of learners group size will be restricted to 10 so don’t delay in booking!

Stable Design & Fittings

The ideal requirements, variations, ventilation, light, drainage, shelter and warmth.
Identify what fittings are useful in a stable.
Discuss the organisation and fitting of a tack room

How to store saddlery, rugs and bandages.

Tack

The families of bits, their characteristics and actions.
The probable reactions of the horse to the different types of bit.

3.

Tack

Inspect tack for soundness.
Recognise various types of saddles and martingales,

Different boots and their uses.

4.

Tack & clothing

Discuss a variety of rugs and their uses, tail and poll guards, and other travel protection. Discuss a stable bandage and when it might be used. Recap and fun Quiz on what has been learnt so far

This event is being organised by Area 14 Pony Club . Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.
